Don's Openings and More for 2006

As long as that's not a "Terrible Towel" You've still been doing great; keep it up. One small long loser for me today, -40. Hope the Steelers luck doesn't run out in Denver; I want to go to Detroit (I think that's the only time I've ever said that :D )

Don's Openings and More for 2006

3 long, 1 short, 2 small wins, two bigger losers, -219. One loser - KO, was the result of a fatfingered order entry, so I found myself short when it opened 23 cents down. Of course my clerical error HAD to occur on a Reg SHO stock! Must be residual fog left over from the post-traumatic...

The Mental Similarities of Playing Golf and Trading

How about: 6.) Play to par the hole. Sometimes you'll play it well enough that you birdie it, which is wonderful. However if you play to birdie, many times you will make bogey or worse, since courses are set up to punish the bold when they err.

Don's Openings and More for 2006

1 long fill, only +40. Was being patient and it didn't pay. Oh well. Overall a decent week though, even with the holiday. A great week for my longer term trades. Looks like the market wants to have a strong 2006. See you all next week (after the Steelers advance to the second round of the...

Don's openings and more for 2005

3 long fills, 1 win, 1 loss, 1 scratch, -$8 net. The Steelers close out the regular season on Sunday, don't miss it. Hopefully a playoff berth will be already clinched by then, if our friends in San Diego can help us out. Happy New Year to all, and continued success with opening orders in...

Don's openings and more for 2005

That is quite a difference. Maybe they use different timeframes in their calculations, although the 2.14 number seems incorrect. I pull beta from a subscription service (Daily Graphs Online) that updates it weekly.

Don's openings and more for 2005

2 short wins, +115. Looked like a nice setup to hold on for more, but I figured with light holiday trading they might whip around all over the place. Both required a bit of patience after going against me, so that played into the decision. Don't forget the Steelers play on Saturday this...

    Wrong Fair Value Premiums

No wonder I couldn't pull up a chart of it...the "E" portion of EPREM was cut off on my quote box. Correcting my prior post, the symbol is EPREM A0, not PREM A0.
