OT a bit but I see a very favorable trade on Bear. July 10 straddle (sell) currently Bid 8.05 Ask 8.45 I sold 2 @ 8.20 Protection to 1.80 and 18.20. Yes this is coming from someone who already took almost a 20k hit on Bear.

The setup is just too good to pass up. I can take the heat on the trade and its a small position overall. That being said, I still have 2+ hours to hit some of my targets. Filled (obv) on 1313 short.

interesting...you don't link it. If you are going to make comments about other people's trading here maybe you should make some live trade posts as well. Good traders take good r:r setups no matter what the news is. I was both long and short yesterday. Lets get back to trading. Filled...

Pek, You've made some nice calls in the past, but they seem only that... calls. I can't remember the last time you actually put out a live trade (at least in this forum) Good trade MB.

no you weren't...no worries. It sucks, but that's part of trading. I had already done the math. I was actually short on the news of the two hedge funds going worthless. In hindsight (obviously) I covered way too early. I made a total (before this debacle) of approx $4600. Edit: Sorry...

Thanks for the math :) When I first saw the news I thought they must mean $20 or $22. Well I guess it could have been worse...I was going to build my position to 1200 shares if the stock got as low as $25. I'm sure employees have lost 100s if not millions. This is why you never have...

wonderful...i m up 2k in trading tonight... Only problem is I went long 600 shares of BSC at an average cost of $33 on Friday. My fundamental thesis was that their prime brokerage has value as well as their investment banking / ipo business. Also their CEO and Chairman both said that...

This quote describes one of the rules that has helped my trading tremendously. On Friday, many times the market looked like it was putting in a bottom only to head lower. I kept telling myself don't get long until 1330 as that was where there was support from last weeks low. I waited almost...

Many times i put the trade in and then follow up with edits on why I made that trade. Now I'm caught up in the thread. Also, in the morning its hard for me to post in real time as I'm taking care of another business. Currently looking for 1339-1342 area for a good rr long. I d like to see...

Unfortuantely, I think we are all right there with you. I try to keep my initial stop out of the noise, but when I move to BE it can be in the noise and get stopped out. What I've been working on lately is incorporating into my data (if I don't get stopped out initially) how far did my...
