Waiting for the next trading setup. Currently we have a long waiting at 1266.75 or a short at 1278.75. Can we make it 3 wins in a row?

I'm going to let the individual trader figure out what works for them best. My trade setup and journal is really just a framework to get started not the holy grail by any means.

Correct, total trades. so far we've had 7 winners and 8 losers. better than i expected.

Many did, but also at least 1 winner (that I know for sure) would have stopped out at breakeven. I think there is a second but I am not sure. I agree with you in managing the trade, however a journal is not the proper place to constantly moving stops.

Yes, but the key word is minimum :) I'm using 3.00 for stop out + .25 for slippage / commission so I used 9.75 and rounded up to 10 for ease.

Back in this trade at 1263.00. For purposes of the journal, we will use 1266 as I'm a little late posting. Same stops and targets. 30m, 60m RSI bottoms. 120m forming Edit: Moving stop to 1263 (10:53AM EST)

I ignore PA while in a trade, however it is a valid setup. I'm just sticking to my rules.

Thanks Now. It looks like you are using the absolute highs and lows which I don't personally advocate. Regardless, the trades should work a decent amount of time. Are you keeping track of your results? I'd love to see the results (ie like 2 for 5, 3 for 8, etc)

    Rule of 10 Journal

I agree with everything you said completely, I hate fighting the trend. I love following the trend and slowly moving the stop in my direction. For purposes of my trading here though I chose to keep the stops and targets static. I want to keep the journal as simple as possible, as so many...

No I'm saying my target is 1274.75 using the last reaction high. If I were to use the absolute bottom (the trade went 2pts past my initial entry, then my target would only be 8 pts)

    Rule of 10 Journal

New long at 1261.75 (reaction high was 1271.75) Stop 1258.75 Target 1271.75

V, At the time of the trade, the last reaction high was 1274.75 (9:35AM EST 5min bar). Are you referring to the absolute bottom at 1262.75? I've stated that I ignore price action once I'm in a trade. I probably sound like a broken record but here goes one more time. Unless I hit the...

Closed out this trade at 1268.25 for +3.25. I didn't like the price action this afternoon. Flat overnight

Since this is a papertrade, I would only claim a trade if the market went through the tick, not if it just touched the tick.

Pekelo, Is today a 2nd gap rule? I'd be surprised if we fill it...but stranger things have happened.
