Apologies if my methods are simple (chapter 1 stuff), am constantly impressed with the various techniques you guys/gals bring to the table. Simple old school stuff still seems to hold water. Watching YM here for a possible bounce signal on intraday, 15865 or so, also the less watched S&P400...

Putting aside personal opinions (don't have one), Donald Trump did this from what I read.. he wrote out his long-term goals a long time ago as you described. I really like this idea, kind of like PTJ's "Losers average losers" note on his wall.. might be a good idea to help face shortcomings.

1116-1117 on Russell futures is critical IMO, below that might see a waterfall, above 1133 breakout. (currently in clean consolidation).

Hi RedTankEra, Just curious if you might be willing to share your outlook on ES from these levels for swing trades. Anything specific to look for to confirm a bullish or bearish bet? Thanks

thanks -- notice how you can superimpose the 'sample' megaphone almost perfectly over the current Dow action. edge or not, it will work or it won't, by chance or by algo-fulfilling prophecy, who knows. jmho.

Here's the extreme perma-bear view: http://i.imgur.com/1veyNhC.png Target would be in the 3,500 - 4,000 range, time dependent. Entry for such a ridiculous trade would be from these levels (above 16,000 Dow), holding for as long as the upper megaphone line holds (16,250 or perhaps a bit...

    Yen going forward

Just curious, what was the heat? Weren't you into a huge honking winner? Hope you didn't listen to my ideas.. what do I know? Don't wish bad upon yourself, man, cmon! If it gets to 150 surely there would be entry points? That defeatist attitude has certainly held me back, this could be a...

    Silver idea(s)

Thread was started 8/27. Was one day early. Looks like a buy spot for Silver. Everyone crying for more downside in precious metals, thus expecting a rally from here. Small little triangle here. Big honking bar above 19.75 for Silver (symbol /SI in TOS) will be expected if the move up...

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

Practically speaking, there is a limit to the amount of mined gold, perhaps similar to BTC in and of itself, but point taken. Potential cryptocurrencies are unlimited, however, and was just trying to make the point that gold cannot be cloned as easily. Ok, this point makes sense from what I...

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

Thanks for your response. For the re-tooling, while what you say may be true for the actual mining process (reliant on specialized hardware towards the tail end that is heavily optimized for a particular hashing method), for the transaction networks themselves, it is not overly complex to...

Would any employer be interested in this?

If you show them your system, which presumably will take a short amount of time, what value will you provide afterward?

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

Can you clarify where exactly the billions have been allocated? There are plenty of stories of fraud and incompetence with regard to wallet theft and the like. Additionally, how much of this infrastructure can be re-tooled to (or, currently does) work with other cryptocurrencies?

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

BTC miners are so expensive because the complexity of finding BTC's now is so great. If BTC does not keep appreciating, then buying a miner going forward will become a losing investment. And, since substantially more than 50% BTC have been mined, and since there is a huge point of diminishing...

    Cryptocurrency and potential marketcap

Just wanted to point out that while a particular cryptocurrency is limited in supply, there remains an infinite number of potential variations. BTC has relied on being first, as well as the network effect, to gain the early lead, but it remains unclear if another superior alternative will arise...
