Prop Firms in NYC with salary, free training, and no programming experience necessary

I went to UConn, but I'm really good at math. I got a 790 on the quantitative part of the GRE. I read the SIG interview questions on Glassdoor and didn't think that they were hard. I just need an interview.

I'm thinking of getting out of pakistan.

Does Israel even welcome Pakistanis into their country? I know a lot of Islamic countries won't even let you into their country if you have Israel stamped on your Passport.

Prop Firms in NYC with salary, free training, and no programming experience necessary

There are definitely plenty of firms in Chicago, but I'm specifically interested in firms located in NYC right now. That's why I did not include Tower Hill. I did however see that DRW has trader assistant positions in New York. I just applied there as well and would add them to the list, but ET...

It looks like the UAE is one of the worst countries in the world when it comes to censorship: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Internet_Censorship_World_Map.svg This is something you might want to research if you want to move there.

Good weather if you like near 100% humidity, 90 degrees everyday, and monsoons.

Thanks. I emailed Transmarket Group to ask if they have junior trader positions in New York. I get the impression from their website that they are only in Chicago. Hold Brothers is in New York. I'm emailing them to see if they take people who want to begin a career in trading and train them.

How do I get an interview at the better prop firms?

I didn't interview with FNYS or anybody yet. I saw on the WSO forums that they were going under and they ended their 2 year training program. I called the company to see if the 2 year training program was still going on and HR said that they didn't know and to apply. Not very helpful.

How do I get an interview at the better prop firms?

I went to UConn and got a 3.64 in Economics, graduating as an Honors Scholar. Then I took a couple of graduate courses in Mathematics at Fairfield University this past spring. I got A's and A-'s in my upper level math courses: Multivariable, ODE, PDE, Linear Algebra, Complex Analysis. I thought...

You might have to establish residency. I applied to some of the better Australian firms and they told me I had to be a permanent resident. I figured I could work in Australia 5 years or so, become very successful, and open up an office of the company in NYC. Yes, I get some interesting ideas.

How do I get an interview at the better prop firms?

Oh, I didn't know that. Thanks. I already emailed them about it. I will call on Monday though. I'm still debating upgrading my Linkedin account to contact the head of recruitment. That will cost $30, but if I get a job I won't care.

How do I get an interview at the better prop firms?

I'm a newbie with no trading experience. I am thinking about taking the Series 56. I see some firms pay for it. I want to be competitive, but is that a waste of time?

Bump. I was wondering if I should pay the $30 to upgrade my Linkedin account so I could send an Inmail to the recruitment manager. Maybe I should just try contacting alumni who work at the firms I'm applying? I don't really know what to say and I don't want to annoy anybody, bringing my chances...

How do I get an interview at the better prop firms?

I applied to Chimera Securities a few days ago, Trillium Trading last week, and SIG a couple of weeks ago. Nobody has contacted me back yet. Who should I contact next? Is it smart to contact alumni on Linkedin who work for these companies? Should I upgrade to the premium account for $30 and...

Prop Firms in NYC with salary, free training, and no programming experience necessary

Jane Street- Usually considered the best. SIG- From what I gather this is the 2nd best, but I don't know big they are in NYC. Most people seem to work in Philly. Trillium Trading- Pays $500 a week I believe, not as much as Jane Street or SIG, but much better than nothing. Chimera...

Does anybody short their stocks whenever Obama speaks?

It seems like whenever he speaks about something bad that happened to the economy the market plummets. It just did 20 minutes ago. I wonder if there's any data supporting this.
