    I am looking forward to try InfiniDB when it is released for Windows, probably in July. It is similar to Infobright but supports insert/delete/update.

    running money - 35% a year

    Lots of stocks just creeping downward today. Can't remember when I last saw a chart like NTES today, popping up in the AM and then a steady selloff. Even SLM today, usually would have found support by now.

    IB: API problems placing first order of the day (sometimes)

    Anyone else unable to trade TF futures today? The order hangs in TWS, "Transmitted, not yet acknowledged" (Never had this problem)

    Yes slippage on a limit order will always go in your favor. There was an offer already out there, below your price, so your order just hit that offer.

    ABX is looking good .... my current long-term trade is long gold / long dollar index. Lots more upside potential and I think the hedge will protect the downside, at least until a meaningful amount of bad debt is flushed out of the economy.

    Commodities as inflation hedge

    I like the idea, but natural gas is almost impossible to invest in over the long term because of the negative roll yield. Look at the cash price, it isn't that cheap...
