    option greek charts

There is a graphical interpretation of delta/option price. Once you know it, things become easy. The models in people's mind are visual. Most likely they would provide the output of models in their minds, and are less likely to share the mental models.

I would double check it, and not rule out a little surprise.

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

Were expecting a 100-meter dash? 2:47PM: the buyers in the last two hours upmove on EUR/USD are now about to face the sellers. Let us see what the clash will lead to. 3:04PM: sellers pushed buyers from 1.2930 to 1.2915. Is this reflected in stocks?

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

I wish it could reach 111 for SPY and 46.25 for QQQQ for today. I could almost hear the sellers talking at those levels--Listen, and you might hear them, one of them is discussing shortie short sale what he scratched. :) I might settle for selling slim calls.

Are they going to hit the stops of bears first or of bulls first? Is there such as thing as the butterfly effect in markets?

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

When I check MSFT it was at 25.60ish. The 26 straddle was around 0.50. Already lost around half its value of yesterday. Time decay in action.

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

I checked MSFT and I noticed that you have hit them. Congrats! You could have hit them on both sides instead of puts only? If one day your wallet is too fat or not wide enough to hold all their dollars, mine is slim. :)

19 times 4% divided by 0.8. 4% is price of one day straddle. 19^2 is number of days in a year. 0.8 is coefficient which is part of derivations (trade secrets). I already gave too much, but you deserve it since you are a good fellow.

Beck: Good for Jews that Jesus didnt come for payback

Two group of people making two set of arguments: 1. Jesus did not exist--- a consequence of it is that his death and who was involved become non-questions. 2. The death of Jesus was meant- a consequence is that his death and who was involved becomes irrelevant. What would you answer...

    MSFT earning play

Whoever buys the 1-day extremely high (ATM) premium on speculation only is an idiot. Vola is close to 100%.

Shortie: I read your MSFT comment on the options section. It is the type of information it would have been very useful to include in here as well (with maybe a link to save your retyping). I would have loved knowing about it. The MSFT straddle expiring tomorrow was way too juicy. 4% as price of...

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

I see. It is like a 100-meter dash. If no running, it is a faulty start. My guess is that on a down trend, you must do real well. Faulty starts would happen in uptrends.-

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

My best wishes for a speedy gain of your stop cost. I am curious to know why this mid-day/morning you did not short at 110, but instead chose a much lower price, with a stop easier to take in the afternoon? Will SPY break 110 later today, or sometime in AH or tomorrow? This would be a real...

    Major News Pending???

Be easy on shortie. He is asking a legitimate question, and he is a great ETer. Shortie: how about this answer: the short sellers calculated that the reward is too small to risk the shorting, and the longs reached a similar conclusion. So for passage of time to improve the (perceived) risks...

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

If the market heads up tomorrow or stabilizes, it means that he is the problem. In my opinion they need to fire all three ( Bernanke, Geithner, and Summers). Three idiots, who think they are intelligent.

Weekly Poll: Will Buyers Knocked Out By Expiration Put Up A Fight?

DX: do you mean the dollar index or some stock symbol? At the close today, for tomorrow, I favored going long overnight while shorting option premium (weekly expiration is tomorrow). How are people in here position for tomorrow? I would love to see a gap up tomorrow.
