I don't think this is true,especially if you are trading at home with a pro firm;you can trade as much or as little as you want.

I don't think you need 125k in cash to make good money.There are pro firms out there that give 10 to 1 leverage.You could take $10,000 of your own cash,have access to $100,000,and trade 2500 shares of a $40 stock.If you don't want to go the pro route,then you can trade at a retail firm and get 4...

Don,what if there are no buyers on an illiquid listed stock...if the specialist has to buy all the stock,the seller is going to get a bad price...so one side always gets screwed.

If you get ten 100 share partials,do you pay 17.50 for each of the ten partials,for a total of $175.00? If you do,i'd find a firm that only charges per share like .01 or less.

For the liquid stocks,i don't think one MM can control a stock,so level 2 becomes not as helpful as it would be for a lower volume stock.I also look at when a stock stalls out after a move.This is probably a good time to take some profits.Also,after you trade for a while,you get gut feelings on...

That's the thing with illiquid Nasdaq stocks;one MM can control most of the action in the stock.Perhaps the MM that kept offering the stock down had a big sell order from a client or was just shorting in the firm's proprietary account.If the MM can't get a sell order filled at a higher...
