I am new to trading all together, where do I begin?

And as long as we are asking YOU questions, how much can you stand in monthly trading infrastructure expenses, computer infrastructure investment, and initial brokerage account deposit?

I am new to trading all together, where do I begin?

It would help ET to help you if you could tell us what you mean by "trading." Are you thinking investing for months or years, swing reading for days or weeks, or daytrading during one day's session only? Those three styles are very different IMO in their overhead cost structures. (BTW, I...

    tomorrow is rollover day

That's why I chart and quote the continuous contract. The less thinking I have to do at my age, the better. Yep, the distribution of the NQ spread has deteriorated noticeably in recent months. I chart the spread and stand aside when it has the shits.

    tomorrow is rollover day

Indeed. It's even worse when the rollover isn't the second Thursday. This thread is old because it's useful, unlike the rest of this place. I knew it was dying when they pushed the sponsor announcements to the top and shithead posters exceeded posters with something informative to say by...

    tomorrow is rollover day

Count me stupid, too. I rely on my brokerage screen to show both contracts on rollover day, and for my charting software, set to continuous contract, to show the change. When the rollover is really slow, I wait until the new contract's cum vol exceeds the old and the spread settles down...

    tomorrow is rollover day

A fairly clean rollover for NQ. The cumulative volume of the new contract exceeded that of the old shortly after the open. And with normal spreads.

serious post- how many have Enlarged Prostates ?

This is no joke. I am 67. At my last exam, my doctor exclaimed "You have the prostate of a fifty-year-old!" I looked over my shoulder and informed him "That's because I get off at least once a day." Youse it or loose it.

serious post- how many have Enlarged Prostates ?

"Stimulating" is when your proctologist gives you a rectal exam with both hands on your shoulders.

Jack Hershey students - are you profitable day-traders?

It is pathetically unseemly for a mod to beg for a system like a noob.

At 67, my prostate is now so enlarged that it protrudes and I can fuck with it.

    Today's gun crime thread

Regarding my belly, "It's a poor craftsman who does not provide proper shelter for his tool." And regarding Southern girth, many of us are survivalists. That's how we store our emergency food. As to your sly insinuation about guns being compensatory, there is some truth to that: "Never...

    Today's gun crime thread

I am really proud of that shot. I was celebrating just having lost 120 pounds. I didn't have anything that fit, so the wife let me borrow her pink polka dotted bottoms. The pink suspenders are mine, though. Had 'em since prom night in 1963. Just so you know, in case you haven't guessed, I think...
