Yep... That's basically the same thing I just explained to Fast. Only that Globex doesn't take native stop-markets, while DAX does. But who cares, the principle is the same - and the safest you can get. :cool:

Fast, you don't have OCA orders? What kind of platform are you using man? RU with AmeriTrade browser-based entry now? :D Honestly though, OCA "set & forget" orders are one of the true beauties of being with IB. Many brokers / platforms don't offer any of that.

t4s, Sure there is - Provided you're a seriously good day trader. Otherwise, "position management" can easily turn out to be "position mismanagement". If you aren't scalping, then you can indeed put on a good trade with a decent R:R ratio, set a stop, set the target (or partial targets)...

I wonder about this, too. I watch the bund all day long, and never seen such a size. And if it goes, then it's over-the-counter and not inside market. Trading 3K at once would even bring the bund pretty madly out of whack methinks. Great way to get turned into shark food.

Why not use a proper bracket trading software like ButtonTrader, then walk away and let the position manage itself? Could make you more successful at trading than you'd even dream of! (!)

Hey traderdawg - I've heard from quite a few sources now that Trade the News is supposed to be the 2nd best after a Bloomy/Reuters pro setup. Is it really that good? And does it cover European news and eco#'s as well? And what's the price for a subscription? They don't say that on their website...

Not if I want to trade news. Particularly with a fast contract like DAX.

It's more than my rent, too - That said though, think about the setup you get. If you want to have a decent setup at home, with a Bloomy, Reuters, decent feed and connection, execution etc, you're immediately out of pocket ~$5K a month. And this doesn't even yet factor in the price for the setup...

That kind of confuses me. There are 200 traders there, professionally trained and supervised, with highly professional setups, highly professional commissions and highly professional leverage - And only 2 of them are "making it big"? I don't understand this. When I look at these traders'...
