Perhaps "market sentiment" would be a more accurate term than "trend." I wasn't using any TA. Just a qualitative analysis of the current mood.

I had one major loss of $31,000 where I had to admit it wasn't going to turn. This was in early October and it hasn't hit those lows since. It would be impossible with 100 contracts because that's only possible with the day trading margins.

I straddled the news in real. You guys just hear what you want to hear I was trend following. Often had to wait over a day in the red before a position turned around. I'm looking to refine

Now I'll finally get around to responding to the only actual constructive response, and thank you @easymon1 for being constructive... Platforms under consideration: AMP, IB, NinjaTrader, TradeStation. I need to find out all their fees and probably download and play with them a bit. Won't take...

Well common sense would tell me that I shouldn't risk so much per trade that a few losses in a row wipes me out. In fact, if I'm ever trying to turn this into a lifelong thing... I should be prepared at some point to lose 20 in a row. Over a lifetime, it's bound to happen.

Oh so when I do something it's luck, right? Stop commenting on my posts. You offer nothing of value. You're clearly trying to project your own failures and incompetence on to others.

From the of August I'm mid-December (about 3.5 months), I profited &/$24,000 on a $69,000 Schwab account. What do you call that? I call that an annualized 119% ROI. These are the types of returns that I need in order to make this worth it. I make about 150% annual ROI home building. Because the...

When I did this at Schwab, it was 100% manual without any advanced charting. Schwab StreetSmart mobile app. No graphs, no candlesticks, nothing. Just looking at a number change on a screen then real quick seeing which it's going, placing trade, then closing trade almost immediately. This morning...

I've already done this strategy for real in Schwab. I'm not willing to subscribe to any platform until I know 100% which one I'm going to end up using.

Well look at that it went back up. Now I don't know what to think for the rest of the day. Perhaps next time I'll make my TP only 10 points to avoid something accidentally bad possibly happening.

So my plan worked! (Paper) I set my OCO order. It hit my sell order at average 3994.29166. Sold a blink of an eye later at 3961.5 (which was actually wider than my target of 20.0 points). So profit of 32.79166 points just like that. What a great plan! It would have been even more except my...

Have I even talked to you before? If it becomes apparent, after much trying, that I won't be able to make enough doing this to justify taking energy away from home building, then I'll transfer my energy back to that. It's become monotonous and boring, and no amount of money is worth spending...
