i have a inspiron 600m i got the SXVGA+ screen with resolution of 1400x1050 at 14.1inch. screen res is a bit bigger than a 17inch lcd. i use it to trade when i am not around my main setup quad 17lcd's its 5lb, pretty light... not bad to carry it around... you can always opt...

dedicated graphics cards are intended to be used to run games, and real 3d applications. it wont be a factor in what you do. however, a non-dedicated card share its memory with the main system memory. my suggestion is for you to add more memory. if you have 512-1gig you should be okay.

1024 x 768 reduces the quality of image on native 1280 x 1024 LCD. the image itself is probably worst at your settings. if you need larger fonts, you can change that by going to "display properties" -> "settings" tab -> click "advanced" and change DPI settings to large or some custom setting.

by posting my p&l helps to keep myself honest. and i can see a series of progression or regression in my trading. i post a short exerpt from my journal as well just to have a story to go w/the numbers

thanks would you use it? i'm very used to writing mysql php code that i couldnt imaging switching. with huge list of new features added for mysql 5.0, it makes this decision even harder. plus mysql package is only 40megs.

can you list the difference between that & the new mysql?
