neo - agree, would not decompile/modify their source without permission, it is likely to be not allowed and also it would be very dangerous to try out. just imagine your software to generate an uncontrollable order flow when you test it with your account. IB should help end this topic end...

hey - i am coding w. gcc using linux now for some years. an API would be a nice thing. I have already taken a look into the TWS source code, but recently IB programmers use a symbol scrambler making things very difficult. They did not do that in the past, thus i know TWS is nicely structured...

Hrr: good point, i agree, a waiver for all account types would fix at least my problem as well (e.g. 50$ comm. in an E-Mini acct. would be nice, don't you think so ?)

Kickin, Def, for me order entry without quotes would do. e.g. i have always a market oder ready (e-mini's) which i transmit when i see a nice bid/offer in my charts/quotes software when i play for momentum on a 5-10min base. 10$ per month (cme) would be ok, but 30$+30$ for eurex/ace would be...

I am a programmer and I maintain a several gig database containing every tick of CME and other futures in the last 3 years. I backtested a lot, but most results confirm what hsanson says. RSI based systems seem to be completely useless (50:50 chance), but if you found something sucessful...

I find many of the conventional indicators (most are MA based) useless for intraday trading. But there are some which are really working. I would like to share my ideas. What are your experiences / Have you found something useful?
