Why do you think Amibroker cannot handle this? have you tried it? I don't think there is anything you cannot do with Amibroker along these lines. if you have problems with something the developer is very knowledgeable and can help you. I also think this can be done in other platforms also like...

The S&P 500 Sharpe is about 0.5 if I recall correctly. It is hard to get > 1 after 10 years because of drawdown.

Scalping stock options? Sure, there are many stupid and crazy option market makers you can profit from. Guaranteed road to wealth. But be sure it will be your own scalp. @marketsurfer: You are wasting your time. it's their destiny.

Amibroker: cheap and best. Takes a few weeks to learn but pays off.

It depends on the market IMO and associate tardign cost. In forex and futures it is harder intraday because the game is zero-sum and cost is high even when it appears low. Tradign cost is the key to success. Someone has got to lose and I bet you it's not going to be the commercials and market...
