MM/SP knows Day Traders????????

I have to by more books from ... David Nassar Maybe that is what helped you lose $70,000.

    MM/SP knows Day Traders????????

You ask for help, and you get salt in the wound. Here is some constructive advice: 1. Ditch TD. Open an Interactive Brokers or other cents/share broker account. 2. TRADE 100 SHARE LOTS until you are making consistent money. 3. 70K in 6 mo is over $500 a day in losses. Set a limit...

    Super Montage..

the ability for MM's to hide their identity through the use of SIZE. From other market makers, yeah. This seems to be the Naz's attempt to reel in some of the ECN business.

    Super Montage..

This is copied from another message board site: I think it is doubtful that very much of the SuperMontage technology will be available to ordinary traders. That is - yes, they will be able to execute orders through SuperMontage. But I am skeptical about how much of the added data will be...

    Mechanical approach?

You just have to try it and see. I am glad to see you are considering starting small. Many systems will back-test, but will not make money. It just works out that way. If you find a system that works, good for you. Just remember that no system keeps working forever. You will...

The SEC is getting a bigger piece again.

As well as giving the "big players" :) with 25K 4x margin. It is just great all around.

http://www.nasdr.com/5200_faqs.asp A. The General Securities Representative Examination (Series 7) is an entry-level examination that qualifies the individual for registration with all self-regulatory organizations to trade: corporate stocks and bonds, rights, warrants, real estate...

The SEC is getting a bigger piece again.

But we get so much from the SEC. Without them, we would not have the brilliant Pattern Day Trading Rule to protect us from ourselves (somehow - I haven't really figured out how it does that, but I'm sure that was the idea). When Arthur Levitt went before Congress and testified that day...

    just starting, need advice.

How good is afterhours trading (liquidity-wise) in large cap/large daily volume stocks??? In general, imo, it sucks. The exchange, the stock, and the particular events of the day are all intervening variables. The farther you get outside of market hours, the worse the liquidity...

And be prepared for a warm or cold temperature in the test center. The day I took my test, it was 95 outside, but Sylvan had the AC cranked, and I was freezing.

Note cards helped me a lot. Write down important stuff on index cards. They are great for cramming. The practice tests can be VERY different from the real thing in regard to difficulty. Some test prep companies seem to like to make the practice tests harder than the real thing. fwiw

This picture is so great, I just have to share. It may be offensive to the faint-of-heart.

    Do hot women traders exist?

When a woman here asks what I do for a living I proudly announce that I trade stock, and every time I receive a confused, blank stare followed by a "hmm". It's the same here in Florida. Most people just don't get it. Maybe next time try, "I make money in the stock market."

Trading for a living is the best job ever!
