Well, not the greatest day today... once again a tight range on the indices. Ended up with -1.5% ROI on 9 trades today. Stopped out on Longs: VRTX, PCH, MWV Stopped out on Shorts: KNX Broke even on EYET long & small winner on HMT short. Only 2 decent trades, a 1R trade on AVII & 2R...

I will say that TI does cause headaches... I think it's just a matter of getting the parameters tweaked properly though. That being said, I've got a decent set of parameters right now but I do have the problem of getting too many results... gotta work on that. If anyone knows of a scanner...

I agree Babak. As long as there's market interest in the stock, you could use the dummies setup. The key is making sure the stock has some sort of reason to move, such as sector strength, news, earnings etc... because I can see a lot of scratched dummies trades if you get in while the stock...

I think trading dummies set-ups such as that are a fantastic idea, at least until you get a few months of dummies under your belt. I would trade with the trend when the gap is in the same direction. I personally wouldn't go long at all on the chart you posted earlier, no matter what. It...

Hey New Guy, I'm just going by your chart (I believe it's 30 min). I think Babak will agree... the first candle is quite bearish, although the gap was up. This kind of makes you wonder what the direction will be. I think for high % plays you want to have a nice bullish candle at the open...

IMHO, I would have probably scrapped watching PGIC once that first candle became so bearish. The gap was up but that candle made it too range bound to bother.

This is the key part of the post... Swift offers buying power that a lot of new trader's cannot even dream of. You also don't have to trade for pennies or credits at Swift, the only limitation is not being able to hold positions overnight (company policy). If you have a good intraday...

This doesn't really work when I've the order could sit there for hours. Who knows if an order has been pulled in front of me, or if it's been hit, etc... That just won't work.

Ok, so just to confirm... You cannot see the actual depth of BRUT orders? (ie. I have bid at 1.50 placed at a time of 09:29:00, I want to be able to see where in line this order is... whether it's got very little shares in front of it or a lot of shares.) The reason is for credit...
