Learning Options - Any good books or resources to recommend?

Hull's book (Options, Futures, and Other Derivatives) is an undergrad level textbook on pricing derivatives and interest rate products. It's not really a trading book unless you consider having a deep understanding of the derivation of various pricing models important to your trading. That...

    Options vs Forex

I agree with the majority of your post except this portion. Also, TDA/ThinkorSwim offers spot forex, I traded with them for a long time and didn't have any issues

Are they working on daily options for SPY?

I sure hope not. there's already too many option series as it is. what value does having dailies add that you can't get from trading weeklies? if you need short term leverage that bad there's plenty of leveraged ETFs to pull from

    trading situation

not going to approach this from a theoretical point of view, simply what I would look at. it depends i think on your expectations for the underlying moving forward and what you would do if you were going to put a position on today. you could hedge via the underlying to lock in some gains, sell...

Finding the best Strategy; Condors, Lizards, Butterflies

If mechanically selling high IV options (and only "checking in" at 21 DTE) was that easy, you could set an algo up in an afternoon and promptly retire.

Sinclair's book is awesome and he's working on a second one more relevant to retail level traders. Consider contacting him directly, he's active on twitter and quora and i think has his email posted somewhere on the two

New to trading options. Need advice on Put option now in bankruptcy

meaning likely the put you bought was priced as if there was a strong chance of them going bk. i wouldn't let it expire but that's just me. posting the strike, series, and price you paid would help

    Generate income through options

in my experience, no unless you trade the spreads small enough to be able to delta hedge with your available capital. i've been trading iron condors/flies for coming up on two years and it hasn't gone well. this straight-up market puts your call spreads DITM and leaves your put spreads way OTM...

    Spx/es options

it's the way ToS calculates the mark, which is averaging the mark of the individual legs and not the spread itself. You'll probably have better luck trying this on a product other than a Monday-expiring emini weekly

    TurtleTrader

Dennis talks in Market Wizards a bit about how part of the success came from the strongly trending markets (mostly in commodities, I think beans was a big one) during the time. You could throw a dart and hit a strongly trending market.

Is it just me, or is Trader Workstation a terrible app for options trading

I pay $1.25/contract, no ticket. you're probably not trading enough. i've been able to negotiate my rate down by volume

    iron fly

this is an incredibly vague question that's best served by you taking the initiative to doing some reading and coming back with more specific questions. That being said, I wouldn't recommend trading them unless they're wide enough to approximate the straddle.
