MY THOUGHT PROCESSES AS I LOOK AT A CHART I am looking for bullish/bearish pressures within three contexts: 1) The larger context. This is the market cycle I speak of in my journal. This contexts reveals the larger buy/sell pressures. 2) The patterns that form i.e. triangles…wedges…trend...

    Tribute to Brooks

That is right backwards. Scaling in long (averaging down long) in a strong bull trend puts odds in one’s favor that profit will be made as the bull move continues. If you are averaging down when your averaging down direction is against the prevailing trend then yes, high risk. For instance...

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

Back again. OK MM's. The first chart is a 30 min chart. The second chart is a 5 min chart. Bear channels on a smaller chart function as bull flags on a larger TF chart. So, understand a bear channel on a smaller TF is a bull flag on a higher TF. Now Bull flags are continuation patterns from a...

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

I will show a trade I just took a few minutes ago after crawling my carcass out of bed at around 10:30 a.m. The hospital had me hooked up to one of those home sleep studies and the darn straps around my chest and the machine on my chest wouldn't let me sleep well. Any to keep things simple I...

    NumberZ Day Trading Journal

The difference between SIM and live with skin in the game is two fold: 1) Most of the time price is gonna have to trade 1 tick thru your price for you to get filled. So to make 1 point is usually going to mean a 6 tick move is needed. On a sim the 1 point can be made in a 4 tick move. 2) The...

Techniques for Day Trading the ES, NQ, YM, MES, MNQ, and MYM

Let me know how it goes with the Pygeum Bark Extract. What helps my prostrate is prostagenix and 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide. I dilute peroxide down to 3% to inhale (11 parts water to 1 part 35% food grade). I also drink it. Drops in 8 ounces of water. Like today I took around 18 drops 6...

@0ndafringe I ordered some of that piping rock berberine and ceylon cinnamon. Worth a shot to see if it works for me. I would love to be able to get off Metformin. Only time I was able to get off was when I fasted for 30 days. Lost the weight! Then started gaining it back. Back on metformin.

    Dunit, gone to cash!

Scalpel has already been operating this morning. All trades profitable. TR trading. Trading probing gaps and fading outer edges of TR. Stopping for a bit as I have some other work to do. Why is price in a range till Fed speak. Because there is always a bullish and bearish interpretation of their...

    Dunit, gone to cash!

I don’t care what the market does. Up…down…sideways. Quick, short, repetitive, surgical strikes for me. In and out. And sleep well at night. What many deem the hardest game in town is sheer delight to me. Short term trading. In and out in 30 seconds to 30 min on most trades. 10 to 30...

The only good thing about SL’s is they protect you from yourself.

How to be okay with taking a Stop Loss?

The only good thing about SL’s is they show you that your judgement on Market direction may be off (providing it was a properly placed SL) and thus they often point you in the correct direction, for doubling or tripling up in size. They can serve to get you “back on track” with the market flow.

How to be okay with taking a Stop Loss?

I detest SL’s but 99.9% I have a hard SL in place upon at entry or immediately thereafter.

How to be okay with taking a Stop Loss?

The only good thing about SL’s is they allow you to reset psychologically; regain composure if the market shook your emotions, rattled your confidence, or provoked seeds of self doubt.
