    Extended Trading Hours

I'm just gearing up to trade now after a trip to Europe. In looking at quotes this morning, it seems that the quote delay has been reduced even further. It is updating more like LIFFE than Eurex. Has anyone noticed this? Maybe it is just my eyes. :)

    Extended Trading Hours

I haven't traded for last 2 weeks, but my CQG quotes still stop at 14:00 ET. Is the FDAX trading after those hours in the US yet?

    Buy GM?

It would seem like bottom-picking to me. I still don't see any change in the fundamentals that would invite any serious buying.

    Printer Hookup

I have tried this and it didn't work. It probably depends on the printer. I have them working with ethernet + USB but was unsuccessful with parallel + USB together.

Yeah... that's how I read it.

Dream job for Refco duo turned into a nightmare

It is not unusual for a new trader at a prop firm not to be paid a salary and for all of his income to be a result of performance (usually a cut of net profits). There is nothing special about this. Some firms choose to pay a small stipend, but many don't. Both people mentioned in the article...

What time frame are you looking at for your trendlines?

    Surefire profits on index futures

Well... if he consistently wins, then he becomes a winner. Would you fade a winner???? :D BTW, I hear you are in the DC area. We should hook up and talk shop some time.

    Rolling over

You can enter a calendar spread that will only execute if both legs match your criteria for what the spread should be. And, yes, you will pay a commission for each leg in most cases.

POLL! How Much Do You Pay Per Contract

This means that as you play more and more commission, your rate goes down because the clearing firm secures it minimum profit and then gives you discounts from there. An example would be: $1.00 per turn up to $6000 in commission paid $.80/RT to $10000 $.50/RT to $14000 $0.10/RT...

Mouse or hotKey prefered in trading

For equities, hotkeys are much easier because there are many different paths to execute a trade. For futures, a mouse will do a good job although you can use buy and sell hotkeys there too.

POLL! How Much Do You Pay Per Contract

I'm a member of both the CME and CBOT. The feasibility of leasing/buying a seat or not is completely dependent on your trading plans and how much volume you do per month. If you have enough money to buy a seat at the CME, then you should put up enough money to trade through an FCM at...

    Historic eBOT IDEM Membership prices

Call the membership office and ask for the file showing all IDEM seat pricing. They will send you a PDF (I think) of all sales going back farther than you care to know. If you run into trouble, ask for Maria Fritz at 312-435-3485 or Joyce at 312-435-3460. Good luck.

    Trading Dummies

Use eSignal to save a chart to a file (usually png, jpg or gif format) and then attach that file to your message on here before you submit. You have an option on the "Post Reply" window that says Attach File. Good luck.

Career advice needed for a starter.

I would disagree with your comment. I think there are many stressed people in here who jump at the chance to start fights; this might be what gives you the impression that ET is not very helpful. It is difficult to respond to every single career-change situation as it comes along. I strongly...

    Looking for a lawyer

I didn't read the whole thread, but I'm very familiar with litigation and the trading industry. My honest advice to you is to lick your wounds and move on. You have paid a hefty price to learn not to buy a promise when it comes to trading. What you can buy, however, is a detailed agreement...

    ER2 Leading Indicators?

Hi Macro, No, I won't be in Vegas. I go to the Expo in Chicago because my office is there. I really don't see the point of going to more than one Expo. It is nice to play with some software, collect a bunch of merchandise and listen to salesmen go on and on. I can only handle that once a year...

    ER2 Leading Indicators?

Hi Macro, I want to make sure that I get this right. Are you saying that you made $1,370 per contract on Monday? That seems quite incredible. I think the range for Monday during RTH was 634.40 to 648.80. That's a range of 144 ticks. If you pulled that much out per contract, I am very...
