Just passed 1423 without me. Another case of too-tight-trailing-stopitis. I've just got to cure myself of that. Typicall stupid noob trick. Once again, my strategy is better than my tactics. Now on to the retest of 1428 that I promised, as I ready to re-enter short in my swing trading (SDS...

Half out at 1418 for +7. Holding other half hoping for 1423. EDIT: Stopped out at 1420 for +9. Flat.

Tradestation locked up. Had to reboot. Now I see why it locked up. Damn, missed a nice short entry! I hate when that happens.

I like your turn of phrase much better than mine. :) (Please note: Not commenting on your penis.)

Isn't that like asking someone how much they paid for a Christmas present? :)

Long from 1420, PT1 1423, PT2 1427. Looking to go short on a retest of 1428. EDIT: PT1 hit and filled for +3, 1/2 out. Stop on remaining 1/2 moved to BE. EDIT: Other half stopped out at BE. Still haven't ruled out retest of 1428, but slightly less confident now. :)

Thoughts at the opening: AH upmove from 1406 to 1428 was a near-exact 50% retracement of Monday's downmove. Since it occurred in AH, it may well be recapitulated today in RTH for those who missed it. Either way, next measured move (49 to 06 to 28 =>) would be 1380. If we re-test 1428...

OC, I certainly did not mean to imply any criticism of you in my message to Saliva. It is obvious that you are both a gentleman and a scholar.

Don't leave, Saliva. Better to stay and grow a thicker skin. If you want to learn from more experienced traders (which is certainly why I'm here), you need to accept the fact that traders are highly competitive folks, and perhaps occasionally even abrasive. Goes with the territory. Trading...

Hmm, my decision to sell my entire swing short position (SDS) right at the RTH close Monday is now looking pretty inspired. At the time, I toyed with the idea of going long (SSO) but rejected it as too risky, given that these ETFs are traded on the AMEX and basically confined to RTH. Although...

When ES dropped through 1420 without stopping, I impulsively went short full position at 1419.50. Closed out 1/2 at 1416.00 for +3.5. Held other 1/2, but market turned and stopped out at 1418.00 for +1.5. Now flat. EDIT: I'm done for the day, with better than 15 handles in the bag. Another...

Seeing bullish divergence (MACD and RSI) on ES charts for 15-, 5-, 3- and 1-minute. 60-min shows RSI divergence only.
