    Roger Ver AMA

Last week on CNBC's Fast Money he said he had sold almost all BTC and bought Bcash. He was very dismissive of BTC, blaming the "developers" (?).

    Profiting from New tax plan

Yes, the short bond trade had everything line up that was supposed to be the catalyst. Strong econ numbers, strong equities, and now the tax cut...but it just did not happen. I don't know, lower rates overseas attracting the bond bid here ?

FWIW.....shop I follow held that view but now see a flattening of the curve, late cycle economics. 10 yr below 2% by yr end 2018. I'm not sure I agree.

You may or may not know your stuff about BTC, I'm not I a position to know. But what is readily evident from your posts is that you do not know many of the aspects of modern payment systems and asset transfer. BTC may have a role (more likely block chain in some yet to be determined way) but...

"Ave x-tion size $15"... Very small, Very scary from a sustainability stand point. I guess this is why a lot of the smart money is transitioning to Bcash.

Meet the ‘miners’: The shadowy group making a killing from the Bitcoin bonanza

Still missing the point, you need to have something to move before you can move it. economists, diplomats and aid workers agree that some form of centralised, structured economy with a banking system that keeps assets in country to be reinvest/lent is what should be encouraged. Not capital...

Right in the wiki link it says "access to formal financial system". I would consider this centralised (Vodacom) not decentralized.

Sure, you can have the device but you still need the carrier network, power to charge and knowledge to use. But most importantly you have to have the wealth/money/asset to move in the first place. How many of the "unbankable" have that ? Seems like a cart in frount of the horse situation.

Meet the ‘miners’: The shadowy group making a killing from the Bitcoin bonanza

I agree. The argument of the "unbankable" poor in 3rd or 4th world situations having access to the technology that allow for this decentralized currency is a LONG way off. And quite frankly, the poor would most likely be better off with a WORKING centralised system with its checks and...

    What's better, systematic or discretionary?

Good topic. I FWIW... I guess my style would be a hybrid. I have a systematic system that filters down to a core group and then I make a decision. But even this last step is done based on rules.

Actually I meant the stock price not the product. But to your and my original point.....even though you could put more apps in a iPhone 3 would you ? No, you you'll get an 7,8,10. So when better options fork why would you go with the "old" BTC. @Hoi posted that the soft forks will contain all...

Ok agree that if BTC can keep inovating price can keep moving ( no diff than any other dynamic institution. Ie: AAPL, etc.). How does existing BTC off existing block innovate ? Did not know it could do that.
