That is some huge and complex gear system. I am not discouraging your effort. Just some heads up. In the real world, there is a lot of money wrenches being thrown. BTW, you may already aware of charting software that can do pairwise correlation analysis.
If there is good correlation between 2 or more stocks, does it have predictive value? They may be in sync in terms of up and down but the fundamental question is what come next. Up or down?
Stan Weinstein's 4 stages analysis.
Look at GE chart from 2010 to 2020. Not an exact match but one can tell all the stages. In stock charting, it's just a rough science.
One practical approach is to look at stocks at a higher level. For example, REIT - Industrial is trending up. PLYM, TRNO, PLD, EGP, REXR, DRE, FR are trending up. When a group moves, it's a lot stronger than a single stock moves.
If it's an EV, any company will do. Tesla EV has an EV ecosystem. Google has android. Why is Google not giving its android to GM, Ford and Chryler? This is why AAPL is trying hard to get into EV as the iOS ecosystem is already there. Before iPhone, AAPL had iTune ROKR from Motorola. Just stick a...
Here are my thoughts based on trading stocks. Spend 90% of the time is on screening and the rest on executing. Why? Need to minimize wrong trade aka have an edge. There is no absolute e.g. "I am right" or "I am wrong" just probability i.e. I could be right and I could be wrong. All the potential...
Mighty INTC couldn't make the yield target in 10nm and have to port its 11th gen back to 14nm. Finally, its 12th gen(Alder Lake) is in 10nm/7nm. Stuck at 14nm for many years. With vertical, one can control its destiny in term of capacity. In a sinking ship like AMD once was, they have to throw...
They do. The 13F holding report is by CUSIP. It's a bit complicated. Some managers report the equity CUSIP and indicate PUT or CALL in the PUT/CALL column. Others just report CUSIP for PUT or CALL. CALL = 90(7th and 8th CUSIP digit). PUT = 95(7th and 8th CUSIP digit).
E.g. AMD 07903107
AMD CALL...
INTC, AMD, TI etc used to have vertical operation from fab to final production. For example, AMD went fab less and sold all its backend opertations. Why? Semi packaging and test is moving very fast. High investment(packing and test equipment are not cheap) and margin is razor thin.
Sounds very familiar when Windows 10 was launched. Like it or not, come 2025 no more support for Windows 10. What happen to XP, Vista, 8 and 7? It's a matter of time, major browsers will pull out. It's impossible to surf the net with XP or Vista now.
With the INTC 12th gen chip launch, AMD struck back to price cut. Price war ain't good. IBM chip is way behind the curve. It's so bad that IBM puked on Globalfoundries. Like I what I have said earlier, chip design and note technology go hand in hand. Why dump 7nm? Poor yield is a nightmare in...
