    S&P has topped already

The S&P has topped already around 1425, here's why. Bernanke will announce a more mild QE3 than some hope for (the large scale mortgage bond purchases etc.) Due to improving US conditions. Draghi will announce short length soveirgn bond purchases of Spanish and Italian (and whoever else's)...

    Day trading, where to start?

This is great, seriously. Thank you. I'm at 52% now and I got a new chart :) Again, nothing but candles, RSI and volume.

    Poll: SPY,long or short?

You think the election will do it, and not the central bank ordeals on either side of the Atlantic? Anybody else want to weigh in? Can't really say if Bernanke would rather ease to potentially keep his job and bet on Obama winning or wait until after the election. I'd think it a little...

    Poll: SPY,long or short?

Hmm...you may very well have a point there.

    Poll: SPY,long or short?

My thoughts exactly. This rally is based on politics. Based on fundamentals we should be in a bear market. Hence my thinking that when the poltics are more or less over with, the tide will again go out, and we will then see who has been swimming naked, to quote Buffett.

    Poll: SPY,long or short?

It entirely depends on Draghi IMO. Bernanke basically said he isn't ruling anything out, that's all. I believe the simple fact that we're in a deleveraging phase by nature makes interest rate manipulation less effective, especially in lowering rates. Manipulating interest rates lower being...

EU - where is it going next?

Eurozone inflation is too high already and they'll have to keep printing money in order to buy bonds and bail out Spain, I don't see that on the chart.

    Day trading, where to start?

Credit where it's due: I didn't even pull up an MACD or any moving average or anything all day. Nothing but candle charts and the RSI. Thanks.

What's a good prop firm for 2.5k risk deposit? I've emailed back and fourth with Capital Traders, seems good I was just curious as to other options?

    Day trading, where to start?

I never tried to scalp stocks, tried this afternoon on Forest Oil, my rationale being that oil jumped on Bernanke's vagueness and this company is a sufficiently liquid small cap so the price would be more jumpy than an Exxon or BP. This is paper trading still. I'm thinking I'll keep a daily...

    Day trading, where to start?

Ok, this is helping a lot. I'll keep what you said in mind about the cross overs and keep paper trading until I can formulate something. I'm good with the longer term more business sense oriented avenues but day trading, mainly just off the charts, I know next to nothing about. I've read...

    Day trading, where to start?

I've messed around with a demo account for forex, and lost on nearly every trade, the spreads kill me which means I probably just suck as of yet, but in stocks the bid/ask wouldn't be as much of your potential profit, so maybe I still suck but I am sucking at the wrong ballpark.

    Day trading, where to start?

I appreciate a response like this, as opposed to "kill yourself now" or whatever may have worked for some others. To NoBias, thus far I've been successful in value styled position and swing trading, been able to generate a 36% return since April of this year, I'm looking to get with a prop...
