Big deal! It was oversold early last week anyhow... I was hoping for Nasdaq up 100! Either way, I'm shorting the 9:30 ET open for a trade, but up 30 isn't high enough for me to take a longer-term swing trade from the short-side....

Does it ever seem to anyone else that Briefing.com highlights unknown or microcap stocks in its "In Play" updates? I wonder if they profit from the moves they create. Anyone know anything? And have you ever noticed how the columnists at RealMoney always seem to write about the same stocks...

I want to confirm whether IB's L2 quotes have integrated ECNs, as in, can you see INCA, ARCX, SIZE etc on their Level II quotes or not? If so, great, if not, WHY NOT?

RADN has an extremely low short position, yet no shares available to short at IB.... I wouldn't short RADN long-term, but I would like to be able to trade it both ways...

Thanks, IB, for the forthright response. Having been with you for literally years and years, I came to expect pretty much 100% reliability, actually, which is almost as important to me as price. For the most part, I would rather do without certain improvements if it means compromising...

Anyone have a list of all the hundreds of websites or newsletters that pump their stock picks & sell into the strength? It would be interesting to develop a system that does the exact opposite of whatever "hot picks" "pump & dump" and "fast trades" recommends.

Do you think the U.S. Federal Reserve has been propping up the stock market by purchasing S&P/Nasdaq Futures during heavy selloffs this year? And what do you think would happen if the public in general ever found out (would it send the market up or down?)

I have a spreadsheet of all the 4000 nasdaq stocks and their closing price information for the last 50 days... Every day I copy and paste (from my 20 portfolios at finance yahoo) the closing prices into my spreadsheet... Is there a way I can automate this, some sort of MACRO or something?
