Do web sites that gives market advice to traders ( like PageTrader or sites that advertise in magazines such as Active Trader is advisory services/educational services) have to be registered with any SEC or futures body to be compliant? Just wondering who's governing these sites.

ES looking a bit weak here currently. I wonder if we'll see that gap closed. A/D line is strong though, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

I like to use simple divergence between the NYSE TICK indicator and price swings. I've attached a file showing it in action on 12/28/06. Seems to work best at certain times of the day ... like swings during morning session and afternoon session. I use this for entry and then targets are based...

If you don't need historical data and back testing ability, you don't need Tradestation as there are plenty of cheaper ( and even free ) alternatives. IB TWS is a great free feed, but their charting is not great. Quotetracker has better charting & supports lots of different broker feeds.

Dan05, How do you find this sites intraday signals? I couldn't see any recent documented history of the trades they call intraday. It all seemed to be back test results from a while back.

Hi trader28, Thanks for an interesting thread. Your charts show arrows which i'm assuming are entry signals. Do you get that signal at the end of the prior bar or is your entry at the close of the bar with the arrow?

You could try www.scalptrader.com ... it's not a pay site ( free ) but they have a newsletter and it could be helpful to you.

Support and resistance levels and price action around those levels works best for me. No indicators.

I believe you can get about 2 days of 1 minute intraday futures ( for ES and ER2 at least ) and more if you request daily. Depending on your needs this can be fine, but it is no good for back testing.
