I don't have much faith in TA, and have been told it's one of the main issues with the book. :)

The title is another book someone dropped off at a local second-hand thrift store. Looks like a decent sized hard-cover written by Peter Brandt. I will try to get to reading through it this month, and curious if there are any haters/fans of this book in this group.

I kinda am against after-market hours, even though I'm all for tech. It's bad enough to have to monitor and track during they day, but now I have to do it in my sleep too? It's nice to have a weekend off also from the markets.

I picked up a book with this very title at a thrift store this week. It's the one by Jeff Augen. Seems this person has a few credentials, but I am half way through the book and a little weary that this may be more about data-cherry picking from history, and not any real use in the present...

If you don't think shorting can drive prices down... then Jesse Livermore had his manipulative trades all wrong, In fact, all his books are wrong... and so were the exchanges.

This is reminding me a lot of Brian Hunter's massive trades to manipulate insane gas prices, and the blow-up of two separate hedge funds, including Amaranth.

After witnessing (while it happened) NEGATIVE oil prices, and multiple blown-up accounts... NO WAY am I going to venture into this. But good luck to the rest of you speculators :)

Rarely do I go for 1-month options. I prefer 2-month horizons and even further. Have dealt with 2-year long leaps as well. Usually, I don't go by % but choose SD moves in my strike selections. But this is an overly-simplistic measure...
