Guess I shoulda (woulda, coulda) held a few minutes longer, ES made my target of 85 after all. Looks like cash close is the magic time. At least it only cost me four bucks to play. Easy come, easy go. :p

Profit-taking is to be expected at this stage of the game, which is probably contributing to the lower U/D volume. After a day like today, I would not bet on a selloff into the close. I like the idea of selling 87 for a point or two as the longs cover, but that's about all I would expect...

Looking at the Daily chart for ES this move today is such an aberration that it is comical. From the 4/2 high at 1417.75 to the 4/10 low at 1352.50, followed by a fifty percent retrace to the 1388.50 level on 4/13. There was a predictable selloff on 4/13 and 4/16 showing a downtrend...

Not sure what that means, but I am about to make a chicken sandwich for lunch... :p

Argggh...talk about pouring salt in the wound. The bright side is you actually used a stop, so at least you live to trade another day. :cool:

Currently around five points to the good on this one. A break above 80 should push the trade to the target. Logically a trailing stop here would minimize potential losses. In the interest of following the inital rules the stop is being left alone. Seems like everyone is looking to sell...
