the simple fact is its hard to make decent money in any field. i am currently in many business's and there is just as much failure in the ones i play in as trading. (i must admit i feel this field is far superior to what i have experienced) luck, hard work, brains, etc all play a role...

generally spot vols come off after event days (such as NFP) even when mkt goes down, plus today is friday. don't be shocked at +1 on monday even if we are in a tight range.

Sle, Clearly DD >10% are unacceptable to any firm and a lot of individuals. Speaking for myself I trade this particular account aggressively as an independent trader with zero intention of shopping it, but yes anything could be scaled back to smaller DD.

the one i show is set up correctly. what i post is actually 50% of my earnings as i have another ib account doing very similar stuff. again, i have no need to sell myself, but i am also proud at the same time. rallymode has posted the same as i do and for what its worth i think he is...

i do feel TA , charts , etc have a solid place. for my trading it really does not come in to play. more of a multi price relationship, mean reverting thing i do.

personally i feel mtm is bs for the non institutional accounts. i am only interested in my earnings and not how other people do it. plus i have no time or interest in posting equity curves or other. i just want to point out if you work hard enough, money can be made in this business.
