    Bright Desk Fees?

I've got nothing against Don. I'm just trying to keep things real around here. When someone steps up to badmouth others and assume a holier than thou stance, I like to step in and be the voice of reason in an industry of hyperbole and half-truths. Just trying to protect the newbies! For...

    I'm Home MaMa, Part II

Before hogging up space on the server, let's see your credentials first. I don't want to wade through tons of material and find out you're a non-profitable, TA book regurgitating, generality spouting, bid smacking, wannabe trader. P&L statements for the last six months would suffice. I...

    Bright Desk Fees?

You DID pay for it, because the volume rebates should be going into YOUR pocket, not Don's. Besides, volume doesn't pay the bills, profits do!

    Bright Desk Fees?

Well, if you want to piss away money like that, then more power to you. Heck, what's $4,800 a year among friends! I've got a slightly used Brooklyn Bridge for sale if you're interested! Sucka... :p

    Bright Desk Fees?

Some trading groups have a trader success rate of 40-50% or better. This shows that the Bright model is not the best one in the industry. It all boils down to a firm's ability to pre-screen aspiring traders and the quality of training and on-going support it can provide.

    Bright Desk Fees?

I was referring to the initial minimum deposit required to get access to the firm's trading capital. I'm not sure if Bright even does this, but many prop firms do.

Trading Schools are a waste of $$$$

I disagree. If you're not able to make consistent money in today's market, then your mechanics of trading are too general and not applicable. Butch Harmon may be able to swing a club and critique someone else's stroke, but he can't play 18 holes worth a damn. A consistent trading strategy is...

Trading Schools are a waste of $$$$

This is only partly true. A good trainer can shave off months (or possibly years) off of your learning curve. In the long run, experience is the best teacher but people with good training have a much better head start. The good trainers are the ones that actively trade, are consistently...

Now THAT'S What I Call an Arbitrage!!!

According to Ebay, the current high bid is a little over $11,000,000. It was recently appraised at $90,000. I heard that Eminem's uncle, who sold the house for $45,000 three weeks ago, has committed himself to an institution.

what do you know..a bunch of religious people killed eachother

What's wrong with all of these conservative Muslims? They cause far more harm than good because of their twisted view of life.

    Who's got the best training?

The few market makers I've met have not successfully made the switch to prop trading. The institutional trading style is very different and these market maker refugees have not made the adjustment. I guess they weren't good market makers to begin with, that's why they were laid off.

Remote Trading with Prop Firm v. Retail Trading

Depends on your trading style. Are you a part-time trader with a full time job? If yes, you will probably be more of a swing or position trader, so lightning fast quotes and executions are not that important. A retail account like Datek will suit you fine. On the other hand, are you a...

    How do we Know ????

Trading is about having a system and sticking to it. I thought there weren't any consistently profitable traders in this market, but I was proven wrong. They most definitely exist and are kicking ass!
