Funny, because the grid control has an option for excel look and that is what I selected. I did not think of using excel at all (sometimes we programmers overlook a simpler solution :) ). I will try to find MAK's excel program and see if I can get it done.

Bigmoose, I replied earlier. It is a .net app not excel. I use IB & IQFeed, but I wil make it work with as many data providers as possible

No, it is not in excel. It is a .NET C# application that I did with a demo version of a grid control. My dataprovider is IB & IQFeed

Here is the timing sheet that my design is based on. The columns I refer to in my earlier post are numbered 1 to 11 in this sheet. Dark green is 1 and Red is 11. The lines in the graph are the lines I plotted volume for a few intervals on the ES while watching the ES for the first time...

After recent discussion about Jack's prv timing sheet on this journal (link to post ) http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=1294287#post1294287 I decided to generate this graph on the computer. Here is a screen shot of the output generated for the ES volume today by a...

I use QuoteTracker (QT) and Interactive brokers. I tried out TC2000, it does not allow you to have 'white space' to the right of the price bars (or atleast I could not figure out how to do it). Only thing with QT is I cannot get the trendlines from the daily into intraday charts, while...

I need some help with filling two things on the Daily Analysis sheet: The buy date and Peak date. How does one anticipate a buy date for a stock where the potential buy is days away. I am comfortable anticipating a buy day coming up in the next couple of days (currently in Dry Up and Fast...

I am adding RBAK to my final universe. The chartscripts don't give it a rank but I did the analysis manually and I get 5 cycles in the last 6 months. Rank of 6.33 Avg Vol: 3,040,300 Float: 55.7 Million EPS: 75 RS: 84 Not sure why the chartscripts didn't pick it up, I will take a...

Just a quick question. The Chartscripts use 3 times average DU to calculate FRV while Jack's unusual volume table use 0.6 *65dayAvgVol. Has anyone compared if the two values make a significant difference? The nice thing about using 0.6 of Avg volume is one can quickly pick off stocks...

Good trade TNG. I bought GIGM yesterday as well. I am holding for a bit longer. I sold IAAC and DXPE too quickly (10-12% gains & 2 day holds) only to see them go for gains of 30% and 40% respectively. Jack also mentions in his 'High Noon' post about the importance of not exiting too early...

Monkman, I see one problem with your chart. When the market opens, your MACD and Stochastic values are thrown off because you are using the after-hours and pre-market data. I would suggest you use only data from regular market hours for your indicators. Edit preferences to change your...
