Blows my mind how anybody can trade like this...its so abstract. I don's think trading and abstract is scalable by any means. I am not making a case against complex, but this isn't as complex as it is abstract. However, my company executes automated [intraday][swing] trading models for over 20...

Hello! This statement seems wide-open to interpretation and I would be careful utilizing a trade that has even 1 of those statements involved in it. Also, keep it simple, the more pieces of logic you have to follow the less likely that trading model will work longterm, in different...

We did drop to 1068 but it appears that 1094, yesterdays No-Globex high, needs to be resolved first. CHOP CHOP CHOP Todays lows still need revisited.

High probability we drop to 1066.25 by close. I know it doesn't seem like it but the market needs to complete a downside move for safe trading to the upside. We may see a jump up to the 1085.25 area but the trade seems to be a seller. BS commentary is always relaxing.

If today, 5/21, is day [0] then yesterday, 5/20, is day [1] and the day before yesterday, 5/19, is day [2]. Ok, day 2 had a range of 24 and it was a "down" day. So we extend that expansion off of the low of day 2 to see if day 1 will break through by 1 tick or more. Day 1 did just that...

So you do not utilize full automation via NinjaTrader? Seems the logical progression for your personality once you have a few trading models you adopt for good. You seem like an analytic/logic based guy. That battle "not liking to loose" is something that will come with time and may always be...

If you studied Price Action and had a firm understanding of a bars range either from the H/L or O/C and where a Bar's O/C is to another, and where these ranges are in time, you wouldn't have to make arbitrary decisions about 1 or 2 points or if a market is volatile. Previous ranges and...

Also, I break down the ES sessions in a unique way I have not been able to find anyone else doing. It has proved to be successful over the years and I hope to share it with everyone over the coming months to see if anyone does similar things with their analysis. I would like to possibly find...

Yes those level are very important. the 100% and 200% expansion points. When my models signal around those levels I know its good as gold. I use them in various ways heavily on the 30m Bar which, in my opinion, could be the only time frame you trade with.

No, specifically on this Daily Bar technique, I only use 200% expansion as a final destination then I let price reset and start again fresh another day and another new range. This allows me to know where all my orders go and I know very easily that if price reverts against me to a certain level...

[edit] I see a few names I recognize from the ES Journal. Good to see you here. No body here knows me but I trade the QM. I have been Long [QM] since 5-19-10 at 70.00 and will exit at 79.75.

Its all good. All this is just fat at this point. It will get cut off soon enough. And if it doesn't my buttons work both ways. I am very comfortable with reading price action. It will show you exact places to enter and it will show set ups forming up but price still needs to "signal" me to...

Well we may see a rush up to new daily highs here but new lows are in cards, it may not be a flush right down the toilet to new lows today, but the next major move (20+ points) is down not up, once that move down plays out that may be a good place to look for price to tell you to go long.

When looking for this to happen in this manner it is pretty straightforward: Globex range on 5-19-10 High 1122.75 Low 1098.75 Range = 24 points THEN extend out these numbers in a very simple format to get price levels: 1098.75 - 24 = 1074.75 PL 1074.74 - 24 = 1050.75 PL [this...
