    Before I became a prop trader i worked for major brokerage house as market maker. First step is you must be registered series 7, 55. If you have those and a proven track record I beleive you will do well in interviewes.Also most firms like when a person makes it on their own first like yourself.

    to ERTRADER1's response. I stated I was in the business 15 years not a mm for all those years. I made 7 figures as a mm I think that i was a LITTLE succesful? I"ve been in that business long enought to know mm and daytrading are very diffrent.

    thanks for the feedback, many good points made. I was successful at maketmaking but its diffrent than daytrading.I know how to trade but that added pressure makes some diffrence.
