Yes I missed out because of that as well! I front ran my entry in the beginning of the morning, but had a second order at 84.75's around 7:45 PST that touched but never filled.

Only one trade for me today. per my usual rules, the TICK would have been lying to me. However, some of my research based off of TICK behavior relating to the open / close is paying off a bit. I traded the shape of the chart instead, realizing that because of the gap down, the TICK values...

Anything above 5.50's and I'm looking for another opportunity to buy, although it it looks like this thing needs some sort of break before going higher. We've also made higher prices since the last high TICK of the day, which also hints at more upside.

Agreed here as well. If anything, the board has made me realize that I want to try and find a partner locally...

Yeah, it kicked in about 9:00 PST. Just keeping an eye on it, nothing more! I actually uninstalled my trading platform at work, so I have charts and a NinjaTrader SIM account and that's it. Trying to avoid temptation :)

Low TICK readings without lower prices usually mean more upside.

I think the more likely scenario is to get there and then plow right through. I have longer term targets of 1475 or so on the SPX, so I don't think we're done yet.

I agree, I think retest of highs is on its way.
