Thanks, after three tries I got it to work. I replaced both tws.Mon.xml and tws.xml with tws.Fri.xml and TWS is working as it should.

Using the security token is easy enough. I am sure glad I have the extra account safety the token use provides. I wish all of my brokers offered the use of a security token. I bet you will be glad you have one after using it for a few days.

Steve, If you have been with IB for almost 8 years, you were using IB's trading platform in use prior to TWS. IB is a great broker; However, some of IB's customer service staff seem to not go out of their way to be helpful. The best IB help I get is here of ET.

We all know what it means when the broker does not confirm immediately when the trade is on, canceled, and etc. If the trade shows an immediate profit, the broke gets it. If the trade shows an immediate loss, the client gets it.

The problem has been fixed. I waited three hours and then reran the upgrade to TWS 877.5 and TWS upgraded as it should with no problems. This makes me wonder if IB changed something on their side.

IB is paying close to 5% on free cash balances depending on the balance; However, IB pays no interest on the first $10,000 of free cash. You do not have to transfer or move the money to get this rate. The rate is paid on the trading account cash balance.

I use the paid malware 7.5 version of AVG. I have been very satisfied with AVG. AVG does not seem to slow down older PC's. AVG is also cheaper than most of the the other pay for offerings. I will consider changing to AVAST free home addition when my AVG renewal comes due.
