This has already been done in Japan as others have posted, however it was inflationary for equities. Quite the opposite!

I got long TSN 2 days ago, got short BRCM today and like the look of RIG as a short but have not commited yet.

It's on a day like today that I am thankful for such defensive positioning. I generally assume a massive move against me and size up appropriately. More or less escaped at break even on this one when it came back down. Nice.

Both of these are possible with in game betting. Depending on where the horse is at any point in the race the odds will change to reflect that. Otherwise you would really be on to something!

Let me clarify two things. I trade trends, preferably weeks to months if I can find one. When I refer to a trade as a loser, I mean that the trade is not proving to be what I consider a winner ... that does not necessarily mean that it is showing me a loss. Now, I say that I expect to lose...

I used to get angry/frustrated/hopeless when I believed that I should expect to win on the next trade and the market had other ideas. Now I enter a trade expecting to lose and have a plan in place to make sure that the loss is fast and small. When I get a winner it's a nice surprise and wait...
