    Why Iraq before N Korea when it was clear N K had wmd ????? Remember the media ????? We had a peace agreement with North Korea, negotiated by Jimmy Carter under Clinton. Remember? He won a Nobel Peace Prize for it.

    Don't forget North Korea and the problems we had (and fixed) with Afghanistan. But I don't think they produce much oil.

    If Venezuela doesn't sell to us, they'll sell to somebody else. And whoever gets their oil from them, will stop buying from others and the US will pick up that oil. Unless they stop selling to everybody. That would hurt everybody, but would hurt Venezuela more than anybody else.

    I LOVE IT! Stocks went down on bad inflation numbers. Bonds rose on good inflation numbers. Don't you love the market?

    Wow! HPQ up 6%. And the S&P futures are down a tick. NASDAQ futures down a point. Who cares about HPQ?

    We had a small bounce when bonds closed (which is when they like to start the pm rally), but it didn't last.

    I agree with this, but what are the chances this (flat/fair tax) will happen? Not likely, but I can always hope.

    Anybody know where I can get weekly crude oil prices going back about 50 years? I can find monthly data going back to 1946 and daily going back about 10 years, but I want weekly. Thanks.

    Full payment must be made for all call and put purchases. Covered call writing is allowed, but the underlying stock must be available and is then restricted. Naked put writing is also allowed, but the funds must be available and then are restricted. You must have stock cash permissions in order...

    I do trade futures in an IRA at IB, which is why I answered above. There are absolutely no issues with trading futures. The only issue with IRA versus a normal account is that you can't short and you don't have margin.
