The New Soviet Union - Surprise, Surprise...

the US has been doing that for ages, with the exception of the tech Boom surplus years. Wouldn't expect things to change anytime soon. What I would expect is europe, australia, NZ to have even worse recessions than the US , and see the US dollar appreciate regardless of the deficit.

U.S. Consumer Credit Increases $14.3 Billion in June

i agree, this is a major problem. most people expect the US to climb out of this recession in the same manner as others before it, but we won't have the consumer this time around (70%+ of the economy). anyone who takes a look at consumer debt to disposable income should be shocked. That chart...

The New Soviet Union - Surprise, Surprise...

what a crock of shit. What about the 50% increase in the US dollar from 1995 to 2000? (USD index went from 80 to 120). So the US paid back 50% more than they should have? By your reasoning, the US should have said, "sorry guys, but the dollar is worth 50% more, so we are only paying back...

    $300 Day Trading MArgins! WHY?!!!

i don't think so as too many people doing this can sink a futures firm really fast. I don't believe it has happened yet, but it is just a ridiculous amount of margin if you understood money management well, you wouldn't leverage yourself to this degree. your stops would have to be so tight...

    Brett's a Jet

I put the blame on Farvre. You can't just undecide at the last moment and expect the organization to put their plans on hold. I wish him luck at NY, but I think he has only himself to blame he isn't a Packer. he certainly isn't going to the superbowl this year.

The New Soviet Union - Surprise, Surprise...

trade deficits are not an issue of a bankrupt country. Yanks spend like there is no tomorrow is the problem. IF they go bankrupt, that takes care of itself. Obviously doesn't seem to be too much of an issue given the dollar's recent strength, and the great Tbond auction today. Don't get me...

About 26 percent of New York City adults have the virus that causes genital herpes and how many people have died from genital herpes since the beginning of time? Zero I believe.

The New Soviet Union - Surprise, Surprise...

US deficit is 3.3% of GDP. Try looking at several European countries and Japan, which are worse. When not in recession, US has averaged about 2.2% of GDP deficit in recent years. If the US is bankrupt, why does the world keep buying its bonds at such low rates?

Never said that AIDS causes more deaths than other things. just stated that it is a contibutor. Also didn't state that homosexuality was the cause. As in most of the inustrialized world, its drug use.

The New Soviet Union - Surprise, Surprise...

Russia is the new epicenter of the AIDS pandemic due to extensive drug use and almost no prevention. www.rense.com/general41/10p.htm www.gateway2russia.com/st/art_142307.php I can post numerous more references if you wish. It is accelerating rapidly there, and is already very bad...

Obama touts plan to end imported oil reliance within 10 years

Obama has flipped on EVERY primary position. Iraq, campaign finance, energy, you name it. They BOTH flip like never before. Give it 4 to 8 years, and I bet we have a new national party. This is ridiculous.

SA, your thinking is so warped its funny. Comparing the US to Zimbabwe? Once AGAIN, why the hell are you here? At least a dozen people have asked this question, and I have never seen you answer it. Also, "Europe has passed the US economically in some areas" yes, a combo of 27...

When do you enter support/resistance plays in stocks?

just a difference in strategy. i like good fills. i would look at other things such as volume to determine if it was a good trade. a move 10 cents in my favor first doesn't mean all that much in my book.

    Speeding up learning from experience

with trading you just have to do it. Nothing else comes close for learning. its like a sport. you can read a book about how to ski..... open an account with one of the bucket shops that allows mini FX trading, and trade. just use tiny amounts. Don't paper trade once you have the basics down...

    $300 Day Trading MArgins! WHY?!!!

guess I am a piker. I make more on this contract than i do on any other index, and even more than bonds (per contract). i never over leverage, and would never trade via Global, but I believe ER2 is a fantastic trading vehicle. Its a freight train once it gets moving. I will be bummed once it...

When do you enter support/resistance plays in stocks?

lots of factors to consider, but assuming you had reason to believe the stock would go back up, I'd probably buy it at 22.05, with a 15 cent stop if volume was declining on the down move. I would not wait for it to move back up before buying as this would give me a shitty fill. I would have...

    ES trading margin and tick

You pretty much have it correct, futures are only as risky as the trader doing the trading. Some thin and crazy markets like crude can get a bit too hairy. There are some firms that only make you pony up $500 per contract on ES for day trading, so it is possible to get stupid with the...

Is it possible to trade the emini Indexes without looking at the price of Oil?

Tbonds, ZB, often move well before ES and other indexes, and often follow. No hard and fast rule, but more often than not, they lead. This is just a guess, but I believe this is due to the larger percentage of professionals involved in this market. Lots of BIG players. Both speculators and...
