Well I'm not gonna say definitely. That would be delusional.

How to Cash In on After-Hours and Premarket Trading

I've been definitely considering making a separate algo for after hours.

I need to avoid falling in the trap of "chasing" like I did following the last NFP report. I'll let markets settle down after I (hopefully) win big immediately following.

    And what about between 9:30-10:30?

    Crazy paper trading day

Tomorrow morning 8:30am.... I have my (paper) strategy I'm testing. Just prior to the news release, I will set a buy order just above, and a sell order just below, one cancels the other. Then, there's a TP currently 20 points away. I have an appointment tomorrow morning so unfortunately I'll...

How can you tell when the trend is over?

What have you tried so far that has or has not worked?

How can you tell when the trend is over?

There's a lot of advanced math that goes into some indicators. It's more than just drawing lines.

How can you tell when the trend is over?

I would. I'd be interested in anything you can show with even a 55% chance of winning.

Is there a way to profit on the short-term trading? Do you do it?

    Crazy paper trading day

I'm glad I was asked to make that trading timeline. I never fully realized how correct I was in my long-term predictions on my losing trades (the oil, the gasoline, and the EURUSD). I never fully understood how completely irrelevant long-term position/swing trading is with all this increased...

    Crazy paper trading day

Ok, that's right. But I meant how the major news release will immediately affect the ES. It is completely backwards that a rise in unemployment on an NFP report will cause stocks to go up, which is the situation currently happening. This won't last forever and it's a significant event when it...

    Crazy paper trading day

I've already realized that swing/position trading doesn't make sense for highly leveraged products such as futures. I could learn enough about coding so that it wouldn't be a barrier to entry. I would most likely hire someone to write a code I can edit. I've already spoken to a few of these...

    Crazy paper trading day

Right now, I am fully of the belief that ES will go down to 3200 (possibly much lower) at some point this year. There is a turning point that will happen when we see bad economic data (higher unemployment, low business earnings) actually cause the market to go DOWN (which is the logical normal...

    Crazy paper trading day

If you read my timeline... Everything prior to August 2022 would be considered position trading or swing trading, so yes that is fundamental. From August-October 2022, I was trying to ride the market sentiment of ES, so still fundamental but not as long-term minded as before. Since October...

    Crazy paper trading day

As a trader, I'm not sure because the leverage often makes my correct predictions about the economy meaningless. Therefore, I need a strategy that is more suited for short-term. I would say my greatest strength is something I haven't applied yet... And that is a strict adherence to mathematics...

    Flip of a coin..but

Even if it's not a literal "death".... This strategy would result in the death of one's account. At increased day trading leverage ($500/ES), all it takes is 10 points in the wrong direction before you are completely wiped out. 100% loss.
