Classic Geometric Patterns and Narrow Range Setups

This is a chart of what I am looking at, nothing special. The BBands are designed to mimic the 14 period CCI, the outer band represents the 200 lines, the inner bands the 100 lines. Accumulation Distribution is next. DMI is below that. Regards Oddi

Classic Geometric Patterns and Narrow Range Setups

Hmmmm. Boeing is about to turn over, but not yet, maybe a 1.5 to 3 point upside potential or so. Sunny if you get an outside day, confirm direction of breakout with volume. With BA volume supports an upside breakout. But a top is in the process of forming. Regards Oddi

Perfection! Making You Think and Go . . . Huh!

Well, okay. Why then do you mark divergences on your chart? Do you not trade off of these divergences? Regards Oddi

Perfection! Making You Think and Go . . . Huh!

Proflogic can make calls and it still would not prove that the market is "perfect". His method is a simple one to veteran traders. You can use MACD, Stochastics, RSI, VFI, just about any oscillator set up correctly will enable you to approximate a bottom. The question is, will the market...

Perfection! Making You Think and Go . . . Huh!

Well, there is not much to debate. We agree. So I guess my next question would be, do you have an innovation, or some technical concept that we are not already aware of here at ET? This is not a poke, I am always willing to add to my knowledge base. Regards Oddi

Perfection! Making You Think and Go . . . Huh!

Cycle/Astro analysis is at the root of Gann work. We know that there is geometric, numeric, and cyclical stucture to the market. The question is, how is that to be exploited for maximum gain? Let's say we use a spiral Square of Nine to ascertain that a cycle is coming due. Let's also suppose...

Perfection! Making You Think and Go . . . Huh!

Hi ProfLogic, You seems like a sincere market researcher, so I will engage. First, while it is true that markets are cyclical, they are not SYMMETRICAL. Next, there are multiple cycles that control a market. So if a twelve year top coincides with a 7 year bottom, what you will get is a...

    CMT books worth reading?

She developed the composite index. The formula is in the book, if it is read carefully. The composite, combined with RSI, will tell well in advance when the move is weakening. Her methods work on any time frame. The signals, especially when combined with a math grid to determine relative...

    CMT books worth reading?

If you read and master Connie Brown's book, you will find out what most at ET do not know. Indicators DO work, and properly set, they CAN lead the market. Regards Oddi

    Support and resistance Question...

Unfortunately, the mainstream will not get it, largely because they don't want to. Jack did a massive thread on Stochastics a while back. The information there is a classic on the way indicators work, and I can personally attest that Jack's fundamental work, if studied, will evolve you as a...

Fibonacci Levels: How do you know when your wrong?

Price should not fall 3 points below a fib level. If it does, you are wrong. Avoid trading the 50% fib level, and stick to .38, .62, 0, and 100. Regards oddi

S&P Gann Angles + Gann Box

The perigee/ apogee problem is not significant if you remember that the orb of influence, which is 8-10 bars on any square, and 2 bars at 135 degrees or 45 degrees.
