eSignal worked fine, IB had disappearing quotes though.

Volume on YM and ER2 cannot be used for t/a purposes, only ES and NQ have enough volume to actually clue in on capitulation of moves etc. However, the idea of trading the ER2 is interesting.. I put it on my screen and will start following it today, see if it's tradeable.. seems more volatile...

I also heard some rumours. Makes sense they will. TradeStation offers 3pips spread on major pairs and 1:100 leverage.. hopefully IB will offer at least similar conditions. Can't really ask them for 2 pips spreads I reckon..

once clicked with the mouse on the advanced chart, simply: type in a symbol (eg MSFT) or type in a time frame (eg 5 for 5 minutes) you can also type the comma to pop out the box but it's unnecessary because it will pop up anyway once you start typing the symbol or time frame.

what charting program were you using up till now by the way?

just click on the advanced chart and start typing. the box appears after you start typing.

weird - where do you type in the symbol? if you click on one of your "advanced charts", and then start to type, say MSFT, there appears a box where you see what you type.. if you're using multiple monitors try looking for the box all over the place.. it should be there somewhere... can't...

in esignal 7.5 just type a symbol name into the chart, and then click "multiple symbols" on the window that opens

money.net offers dowjones realtime newswire for about $20/mo. if you open an account with scottrade, you get the same for free. the problem with them is they don't accept international clients - except from China. I advise everyone to get a chinese passport, very trendy these days.

I am having numerous problems with the eSignal data feed lately! - At the time of writing my data feed stopped working and says "unable to connect to remote server". My IB quotes are working fine. - Yesterday I had a day missing on stocks! Jan 13 simply did not appear on the charts. -...

they said a relief in commissions should be announced in january, and they cannot currently provide further details. I doubt they will let lowering commissions lower quality of service. if TS lowered eminis fees to $2.5 per contact, it's definitely possible for IB to lower them to stay...

see release notes from tws, go to help --> release notes. when are they releasing the announcement about the new commissions?
