    Beliefs That Sabotage Traders

In trading, psychologizing is pussification. Are you a man, or are you a pussy? If you are not happy with your trading, do you go whining for help to someone who doesn't even trade, or do you suck it up like a man and find the solution in your own manliness? The Amazing Rande will not step up...

Alan Farley in Dallas at AfTA on 4/19/11

Alan begs me not to promote him, saying that he would rather be recommended by Heinrich Himmler. But I cannot help myself. I have read his book word-for-word three times. We won't mention that it took me that long to understand it fully. And it has pride of place next to Schabaker as only one of...

Joe Doaks Predicts the NQ Close

Well, then, tomorrow YOU predick the NQ close as early as you can. And I will chime in with mine when I think they are ape-roaching accura-see. That is, unless my AM trade goes south and I go shooting. Which is sure a shitpot more fun than trading.

Consistently profitable traders - To scale or not to scale

If you trade a validly-tested robust system, scale-in entries ALWAYS have lower expectoration than the initial entry. You complete the thought.

Joe Doaks Predicts the NQ Close

I wish it worked that way. But it doesn't. That's like predicting if you are going to score on a first date. You just can't predict at "Hello, my name is Cockhound!" It gets better at, "Oh, Cockhound, you're so funny!" And pretty good at "Cockhound, are you as good as your name?"

Joe Doaks Predicts the NQ Close

I have no recognizable skills. Just an old man pulling his pud trading. I recommended what I did because I'm always saying to one or more of my selves, "I told you the fucking Dow retrace pattern works!" It is always illuminating to test such ass-sertions.

A lovely day, yesterday. But modelable for S/R purposes. Today was indeed sweet. But I got out too early.

The prediction is not for entering a trade. It's for exiting a trade.

Joe Doaks Predicts the NQ Close

The way I do it requires over an hour into the day. Let me recommend that when you get through your present traumas that you take the time every day to describe the shape of the day in an algorithm and test it. That will keep you from posting responses to certifiable loonies on ET.

    The BTFD System

You are quite right. Attached is the full analytical pane. I bought 20 GLD just for fun to make me watch how it behaves. Maybe for faster in-and-out if I need to.

Very good. But finding those "certain characteristics" is a bitch. But don't hold past the close. It's a sucker play.

    The BTFD System

The entry price is the average of two buys, neither of which used the system, because I just unvented it an hour ago. It is a disquantification of the untuitive method I have used to buy physical the past ten years. Test? Only pussies back test! Real men forward test!
