Is it a bad time to buy NFLX?

IIRC as soon as Disney+ announced their coming streaming service Netflix stock had a substantial loss due to the announcement. Disney+, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and a barrage of other streaming services are all competition. I'd say Netflix is definitely the proverbial Google of the bunch though...

    FOMC trade ideas for today

I mean, I believe nothing new was added to the current outlook. EVERYBODY knew rates weren't going up anytime soon. Everybody knows economy is being pumped. Personally I think the markets rose BECAUSE the FOMC minutes were dropping. Like 'Buy the rumor sell the news'. Now the smart money sells...

Is it a bad time to buy NFLX?

With the array of streaming networks to choose from and the cancel culture in society its certainly possible, but not long term imo.

Theories on how markets react after FOMC meeting tomorrow?

Democrats want a $3 trillion stimulus bill with $1.5(?) trillion of it going to social justice projects, museums, and other non Coronavirus related aspects. Republicans have $1.5(?) trillion bill and are not signing off on all of the extra bloat. Republicans tried to do a skinny emergency fund...

Theories on how markets react after FOMC meeting tomorrow?

That's what I'm thinking. Anything they pull out of Powell's words, hints, and mannerisms amounts to either sideways or down. There is no good news. Democrats are holding stimulus hostage with the election coming up, Fed will not raise rates, and uncertainty of who will be elected just compounds...

Theories on how markets react after FOMC meeting tomorrow?

We already know that a no rate hike is already cooked into the current pricing. Any thoughts or predictions on what else might come out of the meeting that could sway the markets, and do you see them bouncing or dropping after?

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

That's not considered a good thing. In fact, it's usually considered a bad thing. It sets a stock up for a massive short squeeze. If everyone is already short then there is no one left to short it leaving it prime for bulls.

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

As stated, I believe the market is heading down. However, you're stating several ifs need to occur. These ifs lead you to estimate a good probability of success, hence my point about probability not equaling absolutes. We say it regularly, probability doesn't mean for sure, and yet, when things...

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

Fundamentals are meaningless right now with trillions in free money from the Fed. Even without the Fed there are a ton of underlying fundamentals retail traders such as yourself will never be aware of. Personally I think the market will fall more, but remember one point and one quote...

I have shorted 50 shares of Tesla at 407.00, do i hold or Short more ?

I'm not a fan of shorting companies that can easily turn on a dime. Put options is probably the safer route if you want to short.

"Murphy's Law": New York May Follow New Jersey With Trading Tax Of Its Own

Ya no income tax in Texas either. It's why Joe Rogan moved here. Actually we've had quite a bit of big businesses fleeing the high taxes and regulations of California and New York to come here. Real estate rates have been driven sky high by the employees since they were able to sell their homes...

On The Edge Of Another Historic Inversion: Retail Traders Set To Surpass 50% Of All Call Buying

My curiosity is if the big hedge funds are using these newbie retailers to slowly unload huge positions. Hedge funds unload a bit. Noobs buy the dip driving price back up some. Rinse and repeat until theyve unloaded their positions. Then the bottom drops from below the retailers, market crashes...

On The Edge Of Another Historic Inversion: Retail Traders Set To Surpass 50% Of All Call Buying

It's not only that, but Robinhood'ers are basically using Reddit and Discord to buy these calls through manipulation utilizing their community size to buy them in high volume. You have 10s to 100s of thousands of people utilizing those communities and leveraging their buying power as a group.

Sudden vanishing of sports due to coronavirus will cost at least $12 billion, analysis says

That wasn't a political statement as I stated it was both sides of the aisle and not in favor of one side or the other it was apolitical. It is in fact an economic factor. You can't simply pretend it is not just because. Now had I pointed to one side of the political spectrum then that would...
