Nvda and law of large numbers

Chanos shut down his short-only fund. That should tell you what Chanos believes about the current market. Chanos is probably one of the smartest HF managers but he's been trying to short TSLA for a long time to no avail. I give him credit for being correct about Enron & Lehman Brothers, in fact...

Bond King talks : Bitcoin ETFs, insane US debt crisis & Woke California

Gundlach is smarter than anyone on the Fed. That's for sure. He understands rates better than one except maybe Bill Gross but he doesn't have a good record of predicting where risk assets go. Like all bond analysts he is a permabear on equity much like Value Fund Managers who believe all stocks...

How Quick we forget. 24 years ago! But this time it's different.....

AMD has been chasing nVidia's gaming cards for at least since Dr. Su took over and they have pretty much caught up them in terms of hardware specs but nVidia's coordination with the game makers & their software are still superior. Plus AMD never seems to make enough of their high end cards. I...

Husband Who Eavesdropped on Wife’s Work Calls Pleads Guilty to Insider Trading

I remember my Tax Accounting professor back in college jokingly gave us tips on how to beat the Feds at insider trading. He said you should get a friend that you didn't go to school with to buy it for you and you have a very chance nobody will ever find out. This was 1989 and apparently the...

Goldman Sachs’s Chief Economist Has Nailed Big Calls. Here’s His Next One.

This time is different isn't actually true. You just have to back to the time when similar circumstances existed. Covid & its aftermath are most similar to: 1) the Spanish Flu and its aftermath which led to a short Depression and eventually the roaring 1920s. 2) the end of World War II and...

Reddit is ready for IPO, its CEO was paid 193 M last year

Reddit use to be a lot better once. I remember once upon a time when r/politics actually had posts that weren't 100% pro-Neocon 24/7 -- that was when the BernieBros were posting everything. Then the Clinton campaign caught on to the online communities. It's bizarre if you go there today all you...

Nvda and law of large numbers

The problem with all this bubble talk is NVDA AMD AVGO SMCI all have actual revenue & earnings gains. Most of the stocks from the 1999 collapse all had negative infinity P/E ratios. JDS Uniphase never made a nickel in its entire existence. The crappy bubble-like companies pretty much went...

SEC in trouble as Leader Resigns to work with Crypto Defense Firm

The revolving door of the useless SEC continues. I guess crypto pays better than the old Government Sachs revolving door.

I was watching CNBC Asia and they said NVDA's market cap is 2X the total Italian bourse.

Yeah based on the blowout percentage getting smaller, I would say there is probably 2-3 quarters of this kind of performance and then it will be like the rest of the semiconductors which usually outperforms the QQQ. I mean if Huang is smart he'll split the stock like 5:1.

Bundesbank says Germany is likely in recession now

The SPY, DAX, CAC, Nikkei & STOXX maybe hitting all time highs but the 10 year rate & USD keep rising. Seems like there is a conflict coming soon. Higher USD == global recession is coming.

Bundesbank says Germany is likely in recession now

Not until interest rates go down. The November & December out-performance was due to the 10 year rate going from 5% to 3.88%. Plus now you have the NYCB albatross hanging over the IWM & KRE.

Gotta love ZERO RISK in the SP500 = $$$

No way there is a real bubble without worthless stocks going public and puking within 6 months. SPACs were a 2020-2021 phenomenon. Reddit is going public soon so we'll know what stage the bubble is in. Reddit shooting to the moon a la WSB style means the bubble is just beginning. Another lazy...

Stock trading is pure gambling, enjoy!

I'm not even sure the posts on r/WSB are real but some of the risks those guys take is really suicidal. There are people buying 100s of contracts of ATM SPY 0DTE calls daily. The most amazing trade I saw over there was someone YOLOing all his IRA money on PLTR calls. I mean they made a killing...

    Forever Bull Market

When SMCI hit $510 the CEO increased guidance 40% so it has a decent value of $700. Unless NVDA tanks tomorrow it probably goes back up towards $1078. In the $310 to $1078 run it seemed to be leveraged 3:1 to NVDA's stock. It closed today in the after hours at $799 but things can change quickly...

Ask the doctors: How much fruit can I eat and stay within the sugar guidelines?

I eat 30 Carbs a day. I haven't eaten any fruits since 2006. Of course I'm a Type 2 diabetic. I also don't eat flour, starch or any other form of sugar.

    The Derivatives Time Bomb

And yet Buffet who likes to run his Grandpa routine on BubbleVision, claimed Moody's did nothing wrong in rubber stamping shit CDOs. Another paragon of virtue from the swamp. I love the Moody's CEO response on Capitol Hill: Our ratings are just an opinion and are protected by the First...
