Eddy, Thanks for the link but I don't see any scripting language capabilities in linsoft. It looks like I can somewhat custimize indicators but doesn't have the flexibility of TS, ESignal or NeoTicker. Thanks.

Wow I haven't noticed mixing of tick and and time based bars in the same chart in Neoticker! I have to use Dlls and bend backwards to be able to do that in TS!

Neoticker users, If you make calculations in a chart using an indicator, can you access that indicator value from a different chart--does Neoticker have global variables? For instance, you can't do this with TradeStation directly. You have to make dll calls between charts to transfer values...

Jay, Tradestation has Comstock feed and it has full of holes. Now you mentioned Comstock, I'll definetely stay away from e-signal!

Scientist, I like the TS6 paltform but the data feed / network problems are not getting fixed. Whenever the market moves fast, something goes wrong. IB is my broker and I have to constantly compare the last trade from IB's plan with what I see on TS chart.

Nitro, Thanks for the suggestion. I now use TS6 but I still I have my old TS2k. I like programming using Easy Language and the TS6 platform but the datafeed and network has many problems even after TS upgraded them.

Splat, Since TS released TS7, there has been data lag and network problems. I'm trading NQ and now TS has direct CME feed. But still once in a while TS network gets busy and there are delays in the data. Today, the whole network went down. Apparantly, this was due to Bell South Network...

I'm looking for a reliable charting/back testing platform where I can also write my own custom indicators. E-signal can do these things now, but I'm reading quite a few complaints about e-signal too. Are there any alternatives to TradeStation out there? IB is my broker and I use quote tracker...

I'm sorry no. I'm not using one myself. Maybe one day, If TS becomes reliable and it lowers its fees.

indahook, Personally, I don't recommend you opening a brokerage account at Tradestation and automate your trades. I'm using TS as my charting/analysis program and IB as my broker. TS platform and data network have VERY SERIOUS problems and they pop up especially when the market moves fast...

I like Tradestations new adds. They look great, promise a lot and attract many new customers. All these new customers turn on TS, chart 100s of symbols, scan 3-4000 symbols using the radar stuff and the TS network gets killed. TS needs a major upgrade to their servers or start limiting how...
