But the edge is for the life??

I think he's trying to say that if a trader finds an "edge", does that mean he's set for life. Does the trader need to search for an edge again? I think this is the question. Then yes, because markets are changing so the edge has to adapt to that. Chinook

How Do You Concentrate on Points & not $$

Taking P&L helped my trading a lot!!! I think that tracking $$$ in your screen fires up your fear&greed and prevents you from making objective decisions! Chinook Edit: Once you're over the consistantly profitable hump and nailed down the rules, this might to be as big of a problem.

This is from 1/9/2004 Yahoo Finance: ....... Selling was most pronounced in transportation, basic material, and health care, and only intensified in the last hour of trading - when, according to Briefing.com sources, S&P sell programs triggered stops and a tier-1 firms placed puts... ...

NQ/ES order execution IB vs TS ?

I'm using TradeStation 7.2 as my charting package and IB as my broker. I'm quite happy with both at this time. Has anyone used both IB and TS for trading NQ/ES recently? I might open a brokerage account with TS too. I'm wondering how TradeStation NQ/ES order execution compares with IB-- I'd...

    Cattle Futures -- Locked LimitDown

Let's say cattle traders/firms/hedgers project that this'll drive the beef prices 30% down in US and push the cattle futures down to 60 from 90s-- $0.30 loss/pound. This means about $12,000 loss per contract !!!! Somebody long 20 contracts with total initial margin about ($1620 old margin)...

    Wine Prices

To me, ultimate red wine is a Nebbiolo based wine from Piedmont in Italy. Even though, top producers from Barolo and Barbaresco ask high prices for their wines, they're still not as outrageous as hyped up regions of France. However, once in a while you might get a great $20-30 bottle of...
