    Watch indexes on Wednesday

Yes, it was pretty good, but my universal 11:30 reversal time was closer (in time) to the bottom that occured @11:41-11:42.

    Self-hypnosis

You mean you do really breath when you trade? Wow, you are so versatile...:p But seriously, can you give me some references to the books, articles, etc. you used to learn these exercises. TIA.

    Self-hypnosis

How difficult could it be to get hypnotised so that you could trade real money as if you were only taking simulated trades? I am just curious if one could easily do it to oneself, so I am thinking about self-hypnosis. Has anyone ever tried something like that, or just entertained a thought...

YM trading: how common is this?

I haven't noticed that in stop orders which are the orders I'm most interested in.

    Jack Hershey

It's not about him having any agenda, it's simply a matter of accountability. Look, I have my systems that work and promised to release them to the public, but I have not done that yet because they need more backtesting and forward testing, at least for others to believe they work, not for me...

I agree, but to believe that anyone is consistently making money using his methods I would need a more solid proof than just someone saying it on this board. The goal of the poll I suggested was more modest.

    step away from the "chop!"...

Well, it was not the kind of low that I was hoping for. It was, in fact, a wrong kind of low, an inverted low. The inverted low happens when the third harmonic of volume gets out of sync with the fourth harmonic of price. Or something. Which is exactly what happened.

I too do believe that many people should do their homework more frequently than they really do and that does not relate to Jack's methods only. However, this is not about doing homework in this case, as many people here have tried hard to understand what he has been saying and yet they have...

Who understands what he is saying and who does not. Stocktrader, since you started this thread, let me suggest that you do the poll. Here are possible options: 1. you understand JH 2. you do not understand him 3. you think that what he says works 4. you think that what he says does not...

    step away from the "chop!"...

This is what happens when you fail to count your harmonics... The first 90 minutes were more choppy than yesterday. The system I papertrade first hit the lowest tick when shorting then the highest tick when going long, very bad luck indeed. The system I trade first lost 0.5 pt then made 1...

Excuse me, but who are you to claim that what Jack needed 2 pages for can in fact be explained in a few sentences like these!!!??? You should be ashamed of yourself for even suggesting that it can be done!! Just as I feel ashamed that I 'explained' the same thing in one sentence a few pages...

Is it really the only thing you guys did not get? So I gather that you obviously know what the third harmonic is and how Jack measures it. So please explain it to me. TIA, Wally

Jack, what are Hausdorff dimensions of your fractals? Thanks, Wally

my computers have been lagging for the last week now about 2 hours before the close.

but I keep my time correct using Dimension 4, a nice piece of software that synchronizes my puter's clock with atomic clocks on the Internet. Perhaps that would help...

    step away from the "chop!"...

Well, I was not trading today because my systems gave no signals, but nevertheless I was papertrading my newest brainchild, a new mechanical trading system that I will probably brag more about in due time because it does seem to work great. So today it took only 3 trades and scored 6, -2.25, and...

    Teaching a teenager to trade

Cathy, I am not so sure if your parents were really so wrong because 80% of traders do lose in the markets, but the idea of exposing someone to the markets at this age is certainly good. The sooner he finds out that he cannot beat the market the more time he will have to do other things in life...

YM trading: how common is this?

Today (yesterday) was not a usual day, 360 pts of range does not happen that often or correct me if I am wrong. The B/A spread is quite often 3 pts today. For ES you virtually get no slippage on stop orders and the B/A spread is usually 1 tick, that's why I did not know what to think about 4 pts...
