I saw a lot of banerting in that thread near the end, which was sad to see. Anek spent countless hours answering questions and giving out great ideas, all to help the struggling trader. Questioning the validity of his P&L was annoying. No one knows how many lots he trades so trying to guess...

One problem with the Oil sands is the rising costs. If there costs were the same level as 3 years ago, there would be HUGE money to be made. Alberta has to find a way to keep costs down to take better advantage of the high crude price.

I lived in Canmore for quite a few years. Very, very nice place. Quiet, great people in the town and the wilderness is only minutes away. Although you won't find a decent home for less then $500K.

I've lived in Alberta for a number of years and land up north is still relatively cheap, and Edmonton isn't too far away (Compared to N.W.T. where there is almost nothing). I guess it depends just how far you want to be away from everyone.

Going to China. 10-15 years.

I have found the best technical indicators are price action, support/resistance areas and breakout/downs. RSI I use sometimes but other then that...

Good points, Petro. Thats what I'm doing now. A friend of mine got me in contact with a Private Investment Advisor at TD Waterhouse (Canadian Bank) and he offered to meet with me to discuss all the possible routes in the trading/investing area.

Tons of momentum in this stock. I wouldn't be suprised to see it move much higher. I'm no expert but... Why not take 1/3 position now, and a 1/3 position on a pullback, then 1/3 on a possible breakout. Seems smarter then just putting in 100K today and hoping for the best. Of course you may...

Thats what I've heard, too. If you're very profitable trading on your own and your account statements back this up, getting a trading job would be easier then walking up with a basic Finance degree. However, so many people stress education as a very important piece to have on your resume...
