Dude, if you can't afford to trade 1 ES contract, go with SPY/SSO, a lot of prop firms can allow you to trade them with nice intraday leverage. Or open an account with bucketshop where they offer 0.01 lots of ES etc

I use http://www.brocompany.com (MT4 based broker) for CFD trading, you can trade as small as 0.01 lots of most futures with exchange spread. They charge $10 per round trip for all contracts ($0.10 for 0.01 lot)

Can you guys with live IB accounts post a screenshot of the VIX futures DOM (order book) during active market hours to get a feel for the liquidity there? I believe June 09 contract should be most actively traded right now.
