Where to put the trailing stop? I hate to give up a gain. On UHS my target was 36.75 ( about 3X risk.) When the price gets close to the target I use a 1 to 1 risk reward to determine where the stop should go. So when UHS hit 36.54, 21 cents from the target I placed my stop 21 cents and a bit...

Stopped out of TSE:AET.un Loss of $196 My rule for stops is that the price has to close below the planned stop. This costs me sometimes but more often than not saves me from spikes down. TSE:TRE is a good example this morning My rule for gap downs below my stop is to let it trade for five...

Average daily profit with $50K account?

Most lose because they let their emotions get the best of them. Even if they have an edge they start to change their system after a couple losses

I’m starting this journal to keep myself honest. I’ll put my trading plan out there for the world to see and hopefully because I’ve made it public I’ll follow it or have to justify why I didn’t. My Objective is to make at least 3 times what I could by having a buy and hold...

    Why is Increasenow still struggling

Just to add to yesterdays post. LOL :D Show just one example of where the student actually tried hard. :D :D LOL:D :D Are we talking about the same individual??? I have seen many attempts to help Increasenow. This thread was started, out of frustration, as an attempt to get him to possibly...

Average daily profit with $50K account?

Close.:) I trade for income. Anything I make this week goes into my bank account. When I have a losing week, and I do, then I have to get my account back to break-even before I withdraw any more. Any surplus gets invested.

Average daily profit with $50K account?

I'm trying....:) What do you consider reasonable? How about a system that has a 30% win rate; 60 % losers; 10 % breakeven Risk to reward 1 to 3 Risk 1% of account per trade Take 12 trades per week.

Trade for a living- best approach

I'm the opposite.I have found that I do better when I swing trade. Swings take the emotion out of it. Set ups are found during the quiet time. Stops and targets placed with the order and managed daily rather than minute by minute. That said go with what works for you. I’m not the guy who...
