Does anyone here only trade during certain times of day? I've found that trading right after market open is a crap shoot for me. Waiting until a solid high and low for the day have been established seems to give me a better feel for the day's direction. Plus I get better looking bumps to draw...

I was simultaneously watching ER2 today and saw a fairly nice downtrend going on while YM chewed away. I've often wondered if it wouldn't be better to trade a coupla futures instead of concentrating on just one.

I had the opposite experience, toad. I never could seem to make money consistently in options but seem to have the knack for futures. Thing is, the options market was my first stop after getting interested in trading. I was learning TA along with options terminology and concepts. I suspect...

Well that's pretty interesting. One thing though, the web site doesn't work with Mozilla Firefox, only Internet Explorer.

Do you go for straight directional moves, or do you hedge with negatively correlated pairs? Also, do you do any "gridding"? I've been finding the gridding to be especially useful.

LOL, I see great minds think alike, rickshaw. I'm in 6 currency pairs right now on long term carry. Seems neat-o so far. I flip between FX and index futures and really don't look at much else.

I missed the 3 point spread but saw 2 point spreads repeatedly during the afternoon. That's really weird during RTH, isn't it?

LOL I might just add to all this (albeit belatedly) "why mess with daytrading stocks at all?" Daytrade index futures where no PDT rules apply. PDT *does* suck, so don't fight it.
